Hanahaki Disease is disease where one coughs up flower petals when they are in a one-sided love. If they are not loved back, the flower petals will consume their lungs and they will die. But, if they are loved back, the petals leave and the patient, stops coughing them up.

In this story, a girl named Kit, that being her nickname, her real name being Mina but not used often, only when they are serious, is sister of older brother Kyuubi, or Kyu, and older twin, Naruto, or Naru. She is an intelligent yet antisocial girl. The one time she finally agrees to go out with Naruto and Kyuubi, is the night she regrets because the next morning, she is coughing up flower petals.
