"Get in." She orders.

I jump in ignoring the fact she rolled down the window for no reason.

I sit there quietly waiting for her to tell me why I need to be in here.

"I love you Stella." She says rubbing her warm hand on my shoulder.

"I love you too Mom."

I say scared a little bit.

"I just wanted you to know that."

I pause.

"Is that all?" I sarcastically mouth back.

"In gonna take you for some brunch I guess." She says switching gears into reverse.

I nod. "You mean dinner pretty much?"

"Sure."

We drive out of the driveway and into the street past the cold air and snow flakes.

"Did you two get decorations for home or another place?" She says.

"Well even though Aleah said she didn't want a big party and it just to be small, we decided to throw her a party anyway." She smiles, then giggles.

"Oh."

"Yeah, and we thought it would be cute to have a baby shower combined." She smiles.

"I don't know about that." I shrug remembering that could've been me. I was only about 1 or 2 months along.

"Look, honey. I know how hard it is, but we have to celebrate with her. She didn't plan her pregnancy either I'm sure she feels out of place. I just can't imagine how Zayn feels." She says with her warming hand on mine.

"Yeah but they had already got married." I say.

"Sure, but she could've been pregnant before that."

I shrug.

"I just didn't think they wanted kids so soon before their own time." She replies to my silence.

"Yeah I guess."

We arrive to what looks to me like the Bakery.

"Mom I-"

"I want pastry!" She cuts me off.

"Okay."

We climb out of the cold vehicle and I crutch my way to the open door held by my mom.

I look around me to find Brad but he's not there.

"C'mon." She spits heading toward a booth.

We sit down and I wait anxiously for him to pop up.

I feel really guilty for just running off like that. Maybe even for leading him on.

"Hello!" A young woman smiles.

"I'll take a cappuccino and a breakfast croissant sandwich." My mom orders.

"Same please." I agree.

"Coming right up." She smiles and leaves.

"Why are you acting so nervous I can feel it." She laughs.

"No reason." I lie.

"He's not here." She points out.

I stay islet because I already figured it out.

My phone rings and I pull it out of my pocket.

It's Harry.

"I'm gonna take this outside." I nod and slide myself and my broken leg out if the booth.
