Chapter Twenty Three: Picnic

" Dang girl ." I said looking at my friend she was glowing.
She smiled at me than did a spin as she held a plate in her hand what looked like Mac and cheese, collard greens, ribs , and potato salad . It was the most I've ever seen on her plate.

" You look good your self." She said hugging me.

" Monica you mind if I steal my friend from you real quick ."

" Okay hun but slow down that's your second plate now ." Monica laughed.

Jesse rolled her eyes playfully At Monica before she walked me over near the garden .

" Girl you see this ?" She said pointing at Rico in the corner of the backyard talking to Karma who was here also.

I instantly felt uncomfortable.

" Baeeeeeeesssss ! Miss thing one and thing two !" Jason strutted in towards us as he wore his Gucci shirt, tight ripped jeans, and Gucci shoes holding a Gucci book bag. I instantly smiled as we all group hugged.

" Feeling better ?" I asked him.

" Girl yes better than better okuuurr !" He said. " What y'all over here gossiping about?" He asked as Jesse pointed towards Rico  and Karma.

" My I know your not pressed about that joke ." Jason said as he laughed.

" No ." I shook my head looking around for Ju. " Anyone seen King ?"

" Oh my God Your dickmatized Already." Jesse joked.

" King ? Your with him now. Well would you look at God ." Jason laughed as me and Jesse joined him.

After a few hours of gossiping that went by swiftly I finally saw Julian coming outside with Ant and Benji.

" Excuse me ." Jesse said getting up out the lawn chair going into the house. Me and Jason shrugged.

" So no wig today ?" I asked .

" You trying to throw shade ?" He asked opening up his book bag where I saw a colorful wig. " I got one in here for you too ." He laughed but I knew he was serious.

" I'm natural until the trip." I told him.

" What trip ?" Jason cut his eyes at me.

" Oh Jesse ain't - never mind."

" I'm just kidding! I know ,she invited me.  Y'all heffas ain't leaving me again." He said.

" Good hopefully we find you a boo ."

" Girl I already got enough. You think doing hair paid for that new Ford Fusion I'm driving." He laughed as he twerked a little in his chair.

" You are too much !" I laughed " I'm about to go check on Jess I'll be back." I said getting up.

I walked into the house and I remembered where the bathrooms were. I stood outside the one upstairs as I heard someone throwing up. I knocked on the door.

" Someone's in here !" I heard Jesse yell.

" Jess it's me . Open the door."

" Give me a minute."

I heard her open the door when I walked in she was wiping her face. " Your okay ?"

She laughed. " What are you talking about."

" I heard you throwing-"

" Girl I probably ate too much." She laughed. " I need to stop so I can fit into my bathing suit when we take our trip  to Columbia tomorrow."

I laughed also.
" Yea I feel you. "

We walked back downstairs to see Benji and Monica kissing as she was seasoning the last of her food.

Jesse walked out the house waving towards both of them as Julian came from behind me.

" What's up neph ?" Benji said. " This must be the lady you were talking about. " he came around the island grabbing my hand." Hello beautiful I'm Benjamin, you can call me Benji . "

" Im  My - Myla - Jamyla." I said nervously. Of course everyone heard of Benji . I heard he was the biggest drug lord around here and Julian was under him which made him King. The months dealing with Julian I heard the story's. He was the most feared man in town.

" Yeah she's beautiful." Julian agreed.

I looked over at Ant and Jesse outside who looked like they were arguing.

" Excuse me ." I said as I walked outside." What's wrong?"  I walked up to them.

" Be real Jesse you fucking with someone else ?" Ant asked ignoring me.

" No why the fuck would I - you know what I'm leaving !" Jesse said trying to walk away until Ant grabbed her.

" No the fuck you not !"

" Anthony let me go !" She said snatching her arm from his grip.

" Stop Jessica !" He said grabbing her again. " Tell me why you been acting funny."

" You know what maybe your cheating? That's why your questioning me !"

" I'd have to be stupid." He laughed a little before he looked at her seriously.

" You've been stupid before ."

" Don't try and flip this shit on me who you messing with ? At least I was honest with you."

" Still don't make that shit right !"

Jesse started crying as she snatched her arm away from him again as she stormed out causing Ant to flip the table.

" Bro calm down !" Ju said.
" Nah bro fuck that you see the petty shit she do!?"

" What's going on ?" Monica asked.

" Nothing Auntie ." Julian said.

" Y'all don't bring y'all drama over here." Benji said.

" We here to have a good time , let's turn up !" Chris said laughing holding up a bottle of Patron as Tariq laughed.
