Upon seeing you fall, Fili fought harder and fiercer wanting to get to you as soon as possible to help you. Luckily the orcs seem to be diminishing and it wasn't long until all that were around the two of you were gone. After taking one last glance around Fili headed towards you, dropping to his knees right before you. Your eyes were closed and he let out a whisper of your name, pushing your hair out of your face. Your eyes fluttered open and a pained smile spread across Fili's face. He placed one of his hands on the wound on the front of your side and you hissed in pain.
"I'm sorry this will hurt." Fili said with his voice breaking, "We have to cover up the other wounds." After saying that he lifted your upper body up and found the other wound on your back quickly covering up. You were now placed upon his lap. He let out a choked sound, seeing the blood seeping through his fingers and on the ground. No one could survive this amount of blood lose but he refused to think that.
"Y/n I need you - I need you to cover the wound on your shoulder." When you had fell the arrow was pushed out with the force of your fall, creating another wound which continued to bleed. Letting out a groan, you lift your right hand and place it there. But, that seemed to take so much energy out of you, you leant your head against his chest, finding it hard to breath. You hadn't noticed this yet, but Fili's eyes watered and tears would slip every now and then.
"I'm gonna carry you okay. So we can get you help." But before he could lift you, you shook your head and croaked out a no. He looked at you bewildered, "I'm not going to let you.. I wont"
"Don't Fili, your injured as well, Besides I wont make it." This time it was Fili who shook his head. How could you be giving up so easily?
"Don't say that Y/n. Your going to survive this." he then whispered his voice breaking, "you have too." He took one look into your eyes and stopped trying to stand up, his heart breaking apart by the look in your eyes. You've accepted that you wont make it, but he cant.
"I'm sorry Fee." You whispered which cause Fili to shake his head but before he could say anything you carried on. "'M sorry I was selfish, thinking only of myself. I wish -" letting out a cough before resuming, "I wish that I could have taken it back." This caused Fili to choke back a sob rising in his throat. "Maybe then we would - we would have time to properly court." A tear slipped out of your eye, by now you were shivering and you knew you wouldn't make it.
"Hey, don't say that. There is still time. We can find help okay. You cant -" Fili couldn't even say the word, not wanting to believe it.
"I'm cold Fee." you whispered so quietly he almost missed it. You had become pale and your eyes seemed to slowly lose their light. Taking a breath his lip quivered and he knew that you wouldn't make it and no matter how much he begged Mahal, you wouldn't make it. He situated himself and pulled you closer, "I know."
"You wont le-leave right?" Fili shook his head not even bothering to hold back his tears.
"No I won't" he said before adding, "Amrâlimê" This caused a smile to grace your face. Fili had longed to call you that, but he never imagine he would say it this way for the first and final time.
"You'll be okay Fee. a-and you'll make a great king one da-day. Don't let the world corrupt yo-your heart." He could tell you were getting tired but trying to hold on so he uttered the hardest word he would ever have to utter in his whole life.
"I-it's okay Y/n. Y-you can go now. its okay." But the last part he said more to himself. He leaned down and for the first and final time your guys lips connected. It felt like an eternity before he pulled away, not that he ever wanted to.
"Don't be afraid we will meet again. One day" were the last words you said before your body slumped and your eyes closed for the final time. It was then when Fili let out a broken sob and just hugged you closer, crying until he physically couldn't any more.
You were sent back to Rivendell, where you grew up and buried there. Thorin as well passed during the fight, and Fili had become king under the mountain within the next month. He would visit you once a year and always on the same day, the day you passed. Though he wasn't the same, he ruled how he knew you and Thorin wanted him too. He kept the drawings you made, except the one of Bilbo, which he gave to him. He never married or had kids of his own because he couldn't imagine having that life with anyone but you, his One. The line of Durin was safe with Kili and Tauriel and there two sons.
When he turned 224 he became sick, he would become delirious and he had forgot most things, even his brother at times. Everyone knew his death would be soon so they tried to make it as comfortable as possible. The night he passed, Kili was with him and it seemed that Fili knew that he would pass that night because he turned to Kili and uttered words Kili was not expecting.
"Do you think I will see her again?" Fili asked to which Kili replied, "Who?" though he had a hunch but was not sure, he stopped mentioning her after a few years, not that he ever forgot.
"Y/n." He said like it was obvious. "I wonder if she changed her hair? Though I always preferred the blue." This caused tears to gather in Kili's eyes because Fili couldn't remember anything the happened past the day, most days. Kili too missed you, you and him had always been quite close
"Do you think she kept it Kee?" and with this Kili answered with a simple, "Yes." A smile fell upon Fili's lips and he talked until he fell asleep, a sleep he would never wake from not that he minded because when he opened his eyes, he was in the halls of Mandos (It is never said exactly what happened to the Dwarves when they die but this fits with the story). The first thing he caught glimpse of was blue and then a body colliding with his, arms wrapped tightly around him. You were aloud there for being a dwarf's One and you spend much of your time waiting for him to return. He did not even have to guess who this was because the feeling, the smell, the body figure, and hair was something that never left his mind. His heart was finally at peace and how it was before.
