The Dance

After a long car ride with Cam's brother and his girlfriend  making awkward sex jokes the whole time, they dropped the four of you off at the gym where the dance was. Cam and Hailey immediately started dancing. Finn went to get you some punch, and you looked at Hailey and Cam dancing together, they were really cute together and even though it hurt that she didn't tell you sooner you understood why she did what she did. You gaze moved from Cam and Hailey to Casandra and her friends. She didn't have a date but she was making fun of Keisha and her date. "Keisha! Omg you slut! I can't believe y'all just fucked in the bathroom! This is a high school dance not a 1960s love shack!" You balled up your fists and stomped toward Casandra, you were so tired of this girl. You looked at Keisha she was so embarrassed you could see her red face even through her dark skin and curly hair. "Hey Keisha did you fuck this dude?" you asked. She shook her head and looked down at her shoes. You continued, "Well then you and your date go and have a fun time I'll talk to Casandra." Keisha and her date got up and she gave you a shy smile. You didn't know her that well but you had a feeling Casandra walked all over her, and that the two of you would become good friends. Keisha and her date went to dance in the crowd. You looked and found Finn and the punch talking to his friends, he met you eyes and nodded. You smiled and let him know you would be right there, "Casandra I am so sick of your shit why on earth do you treat people so horrible?" She scoffed, "People don't respect nice people." You rolled your eyes, "You're not getting respect people are just too intimidated and scared of you." She looked at her long manicured nails bored of the conversation , "Look sweetheart maybe I want people to be scared of me." You narrrowed your eyes, "Well, sweetheart if you want real genuine friends then I suggest being nice and considerate to other people, then you won't have to act like it doesn't bother you when you hear the nasty things people say about you and you won't be at a school dance alone." You cracked the superficial shell that was Casandra, her mean girl look was gone and she looked sad. You continued, "You don't have to be a stereotypical mean girl Casandra, my friends and I are going to Mcdonald's after this, you can come if you want." You walked away and looked back at her she started to smile to herself. Then finally you got to meet up with Finn he gave you your punch, "What was that all about?" You drank a sip of punch, "I invited her to hang out with us at Mcdonald's." Finn's eyes widened, "You did what? Why would you do that?" You grabbed his hand and started to drag him to the dance floor, " I think she's tired of being a mean girl." Once you two were on the floor you found Cam, Hailey, Keisha, and her date and all of you danced the night away. Then the song *play video above now* started to play and you and Finn slow danced. "I'm sorta having deja vu right now." Finn said. You raised you eyebrow confused "Why?" Finn laughed to himself, then you remembered, "Oh wait! this is like the scene in Stranger Things where you and Eleven kiss!" He nodded, "And now it's the scene where we kiss." He leaned in and kissed you, sparks flew just like the first time. After the kiss you asked, "What's gonna happen when you go back to filming and Hollywood and stuff?" He thought for a second, "Honestly we'll probably break up." "What?!" He laughed, "Relax, I know we'll get back to each other." You rolled your eyes, "How do you know that?" He smiled and pulled you closer, "I just do." You shook your head and kissed his cheek, he looked in your eyes with a serious expression, "I think I gonna fall in love with you y/n." You stopped dancing and had the biggest smile on your face, "I think I already did." Finn smiled even wider and gave you the sweetest kiss. Then the song ended and you met up with everyone and y'all all walked to Mcdonald's. After 5 minutes of ordering and settling at the table Casandra showed up. She apologized to everyone and everyone actually got along. The next 15 minutes were perfect, no drama, no secrets, just a group of teenagers enjoying being young. But then you got texts from your parents:

Y:you
P: parents

P: where are you?
P: did you sneak out?
P: Hailey is gone too we talked to her parents both you girls are in big trouble
Y: we're at Mcdonald's coming home now
P: you better you are grounded for 3 months
P: we talked to your principal you are not suspended but you will have detention for 3 weeks
Y: k

Sure enough you and Hailey did have 3 weeks worth of detention and both of you were grounded for 3 months. Finn facetimed you every night but about a year after you started dating he had to go back to film. You both mutually broke it off. You were a mess for months but you knew deep down that you two would fall in love all over again someday.

3 years later:
Cam and you were in the hospital. Cam was a nervous wreck, I mean who wouldn't be? He was only 17 and his girlfriend was in labor. Hailey's parents called him in and the three of them comforted Hailey during her contractions. You waited outside the room with Hailey's little sister, Cam's parents and your parents. While you were waiting you went on instagram and saw Finn Wolfhard. You looked through his newest post. His band was doing well and he posted a new single today, you plugged your headphones and listened to it. Your heart throbbed as you listened to his voice, You missed him and wondered if you would ever see him again. 2 hours later you heard a baby cry, and then Cam
came out tears in his eyes with a little tan baby girl in his arms, she looked just liked him. After another hour of swooning over the new baby and taking pictures and videos and hugging Hailey you left.
2 weeks later:
Hailey and Cam have been busy with the new baby and Casandra was in the Philippines doing volunteer work. So you and Keisha were watching IT and you couldn't help but swoon over cute 14 year old Finn. Keisha asked, "Do you miss him a lot?" You nodded, "I believe we'll get back to each other one day." She scoffed, " I wish I had your positivity I would have given up years ago." You nodded again, "He told me that we would end up together. And I've tried to find love again but guys like David, Jason, and Franky (your ex bfs after Finn) never made me feel the way Finn did." Keisha agreed, "Y'alls story isn't over yet I can feel it." The universe works in miraculous ways because a second after Keisha said that you heard a knock at the door. You ran down expecting to see Hailey or your parents but you opened the door to see a familiar, tall, handsome face holding suitcase, Y/n l/n I told you we would find each other again." That second was the happiest moment of your life as old memories and feelings rushed back to the surface again and you hugged Finn Wolfhard and cried in his arms.
