Sophia's POV

I had to wake up at 5:00 this morning to start getting ready for my track meet. This meet is important because if I have a good time for the 4x1 with my team we can make it to sectionals.

After I got out of bed I decided to get on my track uniform. It doesn't look to bad on my fair skin..I then tied up my long brown hair. It actually looks good because I have light streaks in my hair that are natural. I look into the mirror and stare at my dark brown eyes. I am about 5'5 so I look fine.

After all that jazz I went downstairs to make myself a piece of toast. I'm a greaser and I'm proud to be one too. I don't care what the stupid socs say to me while I'm running. I'm actually the fastest runner on the team as a girl. Ponyboy is our fastest runner in all. I've been in track for three years counting this year because I am a junior and Pony's a freshman.

"Mom I have to go now I have a meet" I yelled, she waved me goodbye and I ran out the door to my school. Thak gosh sectionals is being held at our school this year because I hate traveling for that stuff on a cramped bus with smelly people. Yuck. Anyways as I got there I saw Ponyboy talking to a boy who looked about my age and he didn't go to our school and I would know because he's really cute.

"Sophi come over here I want you to meet my brother" Pony yelled as I looked a him shocked. They don't look anything alike. Pony has brownish redish hair with greenish gray eyes. His brother has dark brown hair and bright blue eyes.

As I walked over there Pony's brother smiled at me. My cheeks flushed because this boy is really cute.

"Hi I'm Sodapop Pony's older brother" the boy said giving me a one hundred dollar smile.

"Hi I'm Sophia but you could call me Sophi" I said smiling back.

"How old are you?" Soda said with a confused look.

"I'm 16 what about you" I said smiling.

"Me too" He said smiling right back at me.

"Well Sophi and I would love to talk but we have to go check in" Pony said interupting.

"Good luck you two" Soda said giving us both a thumbs up.

As my race began all I could think about was Sodapop Curtis. Man was I lucky to know him.
