Y/N POV
I had just come back from school. I opened my apartment door and went inside, dashing to my room, eager to get done and over with my mound of homework. I don't understand homework. The internet has told me that it's just school work that we don't get done in school and that it was originally used as a form of punishment by some Italian teacher. I wonder what that teacher would think, seeing all of the young kids getting piles of homework every week. Maybe they'd think that we were especially ill mannered, I think that's what they would think the most. Homework is pretty useless. I've heard that in Finland they don't give the student homework and the education level is pretty high there, but I could be wrong. So really, homework doesn't benefit us that much.
I start my homework. Just boring sums that seem like a whole different language to me. It's so dull just like what I've been telling. It's not my fault that my life is dull now is it?
There's a sudden shift in the air. I think nothing of it, more focused on the work in front of me. I don't notice the eerie silence. Or the chill in the air. I'm just busy striding toward my goal of becoming free from this torture. Maybe I'm over exaggerating. It's not that bad. But only when I'm good at it, other times, I hate it.
My doorbell rings. I get up confused, I'm not expecting anyone. I open the door, cautiously peering through the crack between the door and the door frame.
There stands a tall figure with a masculine build. I can't really distinguish any of his facial features. He has a mysterious aura about him and it makes me both intrigued and encouraged to go running for the nonexistent hills.
"Does Y/N live here?" he asks. His voice is deep and soothing. It washes over me and I stay still for a few seconds, my brain comprehending what he had just asked.
"No", I say. I know lying is bad but I'm not about to tell a stranger if I happen to live in my home, that's dangerous.
"Is anyone else home?" he asks. His voice holds no emotion and that frightens me a bit.
"Nope", I reply. It was true, my mum was working late at the hospital and I was probably going to be alone the rest of the day until midnight.
The stranger stays silent for a while and we both just sort of stand there waiting for something to happen.
At last, the stranger says something.
"Do you happen to know where Y/N lives", he asks.
I shake my head to signal no. I wasn't entirely lying, I really don't remember my street or my full address.
He nods and turns to walk away.
"OK, bye", I call out, if this person isn't nice enough to say bye to me I can at least be a good person and say bye to them. I close the door behind me and return to my room, replaying the conversation in my head and thinking what the heck someone would want to do with me, especially someone who I don't even know.

Quick note: It might be a bit boring, so I'm going to try to make it more interesting
