My stomachs constant growling bounced off the walls of the empty alleyway. It's been awhile since I've had a nice meal being a binge eater wasn't helping ether. I dragged my feet along the dirty ground ruining my white converse. "Where the hell i'm I again?" I questioned looking around the alley. A groan escaped my lips as I continued forward. It felt like I had been stuck in that alley for years, but it's only been a half an hour or more. "Should have gotten more sleep to." I said yawning and stretching my body out. At this moment I was vulnerable to anything and everything. "ASHIO!" A feminine voice yelled from behind me. I turned my head slightly getting a glimpse of purple flowing hair before I was tackled to the ground. I groaned in pain coughing a bit before looking at who had almost killed me. What?! "AHO!" I squealed in delight seeing my childhood friends right before my eyes. We stayed there for awhile before she finally let go. I pulled myself up to my feet with the biggest smile on my face. "Aho how have you been all of these years?" I asked wanting to know what has changed with her since the last time we saw each other. " hmm..." she pondered for a minute. "Well I've joined the aogiri tree." I looked at her slightly surprised. "W-whoa that's pretty amazing Aho." Hearing that coming from her made me slightly embarrassed and putting all my work to shame. "Well what about you?" She asked putting her hand on her hip in a sassy position. I scratched my cheek " well...I've made my own organization. At the moment I was on a mission but got sidetracked." I looked up at her she seemed very surprised and shocked. Since we were both kids I was the weaker one out both of us so it's kinda unexpected for someone like me to suddenly boost up like that. "My beans growing up." Aho whispered wiping a imaginary tear. "A-Aho!" I yelled as my face began to heat up. She giggled like a child before my stomach growled. "You wouldn't happened to have food on you would you?" I asked slightly embarrassed. She lifted up her pointer finger like a explanation mark. "Actually I do." She said pulling out a wrapped up piece of human remains. The smell filled up my nostrils with the most mouth watering scent. She handed me the package which I gladly took. "If you wouldn't mind, could you turn around for a second?" I asked, Aho seemed confused, but did so anyways. I ripped the package open in one go holding the piece of meat in my hands. Drool dripped from my lips landing on the juice, red, mouth watering meat. I opened my mouth wide biting down in the the meat. I tasted so good. I could hardly contain myself as I squealed In delight. I devoured the rest of it like a savage animal. I hastily licked the excess blood off my fingers. "Aho you're good now." I said licking off the last bit off. "Oh, you got it all over your face." She said laughing a bit. "I-I do." I began to wipe the blood off with a piece of my clothing then ripped it off. "Why did you do that?" She asked. I looked at her for a second. "Well you see if someone saw that it would ruin my entire mission." I tried to keep my mouth shut about the rest, but she gave me one of those motherly looks that felt like she was looking right through me. I panicked a bit then spit everything out."I've join the ccg." She seemed shocked and scared at the same time. "Ashio how the hell did you do that? How long have you been doing that, and even avoid all those scanning junk?" She was almost yelling at this point. "Aho, I'm a half ghoul as long as it detecting human it'll think I'm human." I awkwardly pointed out. "I found that out one day after losing a gamble to a group of ghouls. I didn't have any money to buy coffee so I tried a bit of gambling. they told me they'd give me money if I win or I would have to do them a favor." I explained gesturing my hands to tell the story. "Well I should be off, one of the doves should be waiting for me and they would get annoyed if I was late. Text me later I'll answer all your questions." I gave Aho a hug ,told her my phone number and ran before she could say another word. "Don't worry if we meet up and I'm with the doves I'll avoid combat and injury myself if necessary." I ran off back to headquarters where my endless anxiety awaits.

I opened the doors to the large building fixing my coat. It began to rain a little bit after I left Aho. I spotted A first class senior investigator walking towards me as I passed through the scanners. "Good morning Koizumi-kun." He said with a gentle smile and warm welcoming eyes. "Ah, good morning Histato-san." I greeted walking up to him. His full name is Tajima Histato,he's twenty five only five years older than me, he is also the one training me to becoming a senior investigator. "How's everything going?" I asked. He looked at me with a slightly worried expression. "Well because of the increase in ghoul activity we are being sent out to find and kill em, you know to decrease it Slightly. We're probably not gonna be able to kill a lot maybe one." I could tell why he would be worried, but I've been holding back, so that I wouldn't get bumped up to a senior rank. I take as far as getting hurt sometimes or I'm just being and idiot out of excitement . "Don't worry I'll be fine let's just get rid for some ghouls." I said wearing a big cheeky smile. "Alright we'll head out once we both grab our gear." He said leading the way. I followed him through the building to a room that held silver briefcases. We grabbed the briefcases that held what they call quinques. Just a kagune severed from a ghoul and stuffed into a briefcase. "Oh have you found out anything about the missing ghoul bodies?" I asked as we began to walk out of the building. Histato gave a annoyed grunt, "no, I just don't understand it why would someone take ghoul remains and what do they even use it for?" Histato seemed very confused and irritated by this, I just grinned recalling the events. "Don't worry you'll catch them soon. Why don't you stay overnight on look out?" I asked trying to help him out. It was kinda odd to think about. What are they even used for? "Yea I could try that a ghoul does go missing almost everyday. I'll try that, but I should have a few other people that I know with me besides security. It's odd to the cameras always go dead when it happens." He began to think harder and harder about this. "Histato-San don't think to hard about this or you'll lose even more brain cells." I laughed looking at his irritated face. "Come on shrimp, get in the car so we can leave." Histato said hopping in to the drivers seat. I opened the passenger door and hopped in. Along the way I made fun of Histato about his past mistakes that I've been told by other doves and laughed my guts out. By the time I smelled a ghoul and we stopped I was in tears, they were partly from the pain in my stomach and from the jokes. "Histato-San I can't breath." I wheezed through my laughter. He looked at me before helping me out of the car. "I'm sorry I'll take you out for ramen after work." I grabbed the briefcase and ran in to the alley toward the screaming I heard. Excitement arose in my head. "Wait koizumi-kun." I heard Histato yell. I ran faster and faster the tapping of my shoes made it clear I was there. In an instant I went flying towards a wall making a loud crash with the contact. a kagune jabbed through my shoulder cracking the Brick wall behind me. While another flew towards my head stopping inches away from my face. "KOIZUMI-KUN?" Histato yelled I could hear him coming closer. I began to struggle pulling the purple rinkaku out of my shoulder. "F***, Hisato-San stay back you'll get hurt!" I yelled the other part of the rinkaku inching closer to my face. Histato used his quinque hitting the rinkaku. It fled back in to the dark alley to its owner. My body fell to the ground blood dripping down my arm the rain causing it to spread amongst my shirt faster. "Histato-san be careful!" I yelled running after my quinque. I activated the quinque a bikaku type, running after Histato. "Don't die on me bastard!" I yelled at Histato running into the alleyway where the ghoul was hiding. 'CrAcK!' It echoed off the walls. Who was it from? "Koizumi-kun everything's ok." I heard Histato say. I let go of my breath once I saw him walk out of the shadows unharmed. "Gosh dang it Histato-San, you almost gave me a hard attack. I thought you were supposed to be an example for me." I growled crouching down shoving my quinque back in the briefcase. "Go tell headquarters, tell them there's a dead ghoul body needed to be taken." I said watching Histato grab his phone and dial the number in. We waited a bit till the ghoul was taken and left Histato waited outside the car while I sat inside listening . I hide myself in my hoodie as we sat in the car. "We gotta get you patched up." Histato said with a worried expression. "I'm surprised you're not freaking out. I looked at him calm "probably because of all the adrenaline." I said seeing Histato nod in agreement. "I'll be fine just drop me off at my apartment I'll patch myself up and we'll go out for ramen." Histato didn't feel comfortable with this. "Come on, I had worse done to me this is just a scratch." I said trying to ease him. "Wait what do you mean by that?!" This only alarmed him more. "Just drop me off and wait for a bit, Kay?" Histato clenched his teeth together "fine." He sighed changing direction towards my apartment. I got out of the car shutting the door behind me. The streets seemed more busier today. I walked up to my front door opening then shutting it behind me. I walked around my small dark apartment to my bedroom filled with stuffed animals placed all over my bed a computer, laptop and tons of clothing thrown everywhere. I got on my knees bending over to check underneath my bed pulling out the first aid kit thanks to Histato who gave me it the last time I got hurt. I pulled my hoodie and button up shirt off covered in blood throwing that on the floor. I began wetting a rag and cleaned my wound as best as I could, but the blood just kept flowing. I patched up myself up seeing it bleed slightly through the wrappings. I decided to change in to a black skirt with suspenders, a white shirt tucked in and my black thigh high stockings with a black jacket. I kept my white converse on, I liked the way they were dirty it showed a more messy side. A folded up hoodie caught my eyes. "Oh ya." I said grabbing the clothes. I ran outside locking the door. "Hey I'm back." I said hopping in to the car. "Oh you changed your clothes." Histato said starting the car back up. "Yea my shirt has blood on it and a big tear now. By the way you left this at my place last night, your Hoodie." I mentioned placing his hoodie in the middle of us. "Ah yeah thanks I forgot about it when I left." He laughed at himself for his stupid mistake. "Yea don't worry about it, I should say I did wear it yesterday to it got really cold at my place and my sweater wasn't warm enough." My face heated up say this I think histato's did to. "A-ah d-don't worry that's totally fine." He stumbled on his words. I smiled to myself zoning out as I liked out the window looking at the beautiful view at night.
