chapter thirteen

Lauren's pov

It's been a week kenz and john don't speak unless its necessary shes been so sad but she tries to hide it typical kenzie

She's back to bully people and Johnny acts like he doesn't know why she's doing that

Nadia is over all the time i can't talk to my brother cuz she's always here god she's really getting on my nerves 

"Kenzie i am going on a date with william" i said trying to get her attention she has been on her phone since she got up

I am starting to get worried nadia was kenzie's friend before me and john move 2 years ago yes we 've been friends since two years only

And now kenzie did not only lose Johnny but she's also losing nadia

  
"Kenz i am talking to you " i said   "Yeah you're going to meet him so what" she said coldly

"Funny your bitchy attitude won't work on me kenz" i said

"Fine what do you want" she gave up

"i need your help" i said  she nodded

"okay so we're gonna say that we're hanging out i will leave you ofc i don't wanna be a third wheel  and  you go to your date " she said

"Yup that's what were gonna do" i replied "you know what he won't ask he's so busy making out with nadia" for a second i saw hurt in her eyes

"Let's go" i said grabing her hand

After 3 hours i decided not make her wait any longer and went to pick her up from the park

She was drinking pink drink from starbucks wow she's addicted to Starbucks but she wasn't alone 

And she was laughing when i got closer i recognized him it was brandon

"Hey laur" kenz greeted "hi bby" i greeted back "see you brand" i said
"Bye" he replied i walked away with kenz

"You came so early you didn't make out or what" she teased

"No i just care about you i didn't want you to wait too long cuz i am nice" i said

"Awww" she said putting her arm  around my shoulders

We arrived at my house it was 8 p.m.
We changed and sit on the bed in my room

"Soooo" she started "what" i asked
"When are you going to tell johnny about the dating thing"   she said

"I don't know " i replied  "laur you have to" she stated

"I know" i said "it will hurt him if he finds out" she said

"Kenz be honest do you have feelings for my brother" i questioned

"I don't know " she said leaving me confused

"What do you mean" i asked
"I like him lauren i like him and it's killing me okay"

"Kenz it's okay i didn't mean to upset you" i said feeling sorry

"Its not lauren it's not okay i don't want to fall in love" she told me

Looking at the cell emotionless "kenz everyone fall in love it's okay" i said trying to comfort her  

"I don't want to be like my mom she fell in love with dad and when he died she died too she stopped caring for me and maddie she stopped being a mother and started drinking and smoking she would have a new guy every week  it's like the old her died"

She poured her heart out and started to cry oh my kenz why did she bottled up too much

"Kenz you're not your mother and you will never be her" i hold trying to comfort her

To be honest she have to be scared of love i mean her father died when she was only three So she suffered thirteen years of that

"Kenz you're strong beautiful kind and smart we all love you"

"Stop it laur i am not strong i've never told anyone about this until now and ofc i am not kind i am always rude to people i am a total bitch" she said

I comforted her and she went back to normal we spent the night talking about random things till we fell asleep

It was a long day kenzie finally told me what she had bottled up for years
And she likes john but he's too much of an asshole to notice that
