Era's POV
Silence filled us both as we were walking towards the exit of the forest. I looked at Relani beside me, she looked so out of it. After what happened she dragged me and we ran all the way until we saw the exit.
Napatigil ako ng biglang tumigil si Relani. She looked straight at me. "How did you do that?"
"Do what?" Tanong ko. She pointed her hand at the direction we left the woman's body. "That."
Napabuntong-hininga naman ako at tinignan ang kwintas ko na ngayon ay nasira nanaman uli. "I have no idea. Sometimes, I just do it."
Relani looked at me confused. But then she smiled, "You're really something." natatawang sabi naman niya. Huh, the first time I saw her genuinely smile at me.
"Kaya siguro hulog na hulog si kuya sa'yo..." she smiled, "pati na si Keiji." and her smile disappeared. We then continued walking.
"Ano bang pinagsasabi mo jan? Walang nahulog, Relani."
"Oh please, Era! Everyone can see it clearly! Ikaw lang ata 'tong bulag na bulag." She said kind of annoyed. Hindi ko nalamang siya pinatulan at tumahimik na ako.
We continued walking. "You really like Keiji, noh?" Wala sa sariling tanong ko. Mabilis ko namang tinakpan ang bibig ko. "Sorry!"
She shook her head. "It's okay. It was never a secret. Sadyang ayaw niya lang talagang i acknowledge and feelings ko."
"I can't blame him though," Pagpapatuloy niya pa. "I'm a spoiled brat who acts like a child, kaya siguro he only sees me as his little sister, nothing else! Kahit gaano ko pa sya kamahal, kung iba lang din naman ang mahal niya..." she trailed off while looking at me, "...wala pa rin"
Napakurap-kurap naman ako dahil don. "The heart can learn how to fall in love, Relani. Wag kang mawawalan ng pag-asa, sooner or later, you'll get him."
"Bakit? Di mo ba gusto si Keiji?" Tanong niya naman saakin. I laughed. "Crush ko siya noon kasi na gwa-gwapuhan ako sakanya! Pero 'di hamak naman na mas gwapo ang kuy—" I stopped dead in my tracks.
Relani smiled widely at me. "So you like my kuya?!" Di makapaniwalang sabi niya naman. "Ano?! Wala naman akong sinabing ganon ah!" I denied.
"But you clearly said he's more handsome than my Keiji! That means you like him!" Natutuwang tukso naman saakin ni Relani. "Hindi ah!" Pagtatanggol ko naman sa sarili ko.
