Jonathan chuckled as he began to make breakfast.

Out of nowhere, a thought appeared in my head.

My mother said Jonathan was keeping something from me.

Normal I would not believe her but this time was different.

Last night we, as werewolves call it, mated.

And that chemically bonds people.

Jonathan would have told me if he was hiding something.

Right?

"Hey, Jonathan." I spoke while avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah?" He responded.

"If mates were real, you would have told me by now, right?"

He seemed to freeze to freeze.

But only for a split second.

Jonathan's POV

"O-of course I would. You are the one I love. By choice."

That was half true.

I did love her by choice.

I could have just rejected her but I didn't.

I did dislike her when we first met but I learned to love her.

She is my one and only love.

'When are we going to tell her?' My wolf asked.

'I don't know.'

'We can't keep this from her forever.'

'I know.'

'We need to tell her now!'

'No! Not now.'

'Then when!? She deserves to know the truth.'

'Ok. We'll tell her tomorrow.'

'Good.'

I just hope she'll forgive me for not telling her.

Rosie's stepdad walked into the kitchen and gave her a hug.

I continued making breakfast but I was still listening to their conversation.

"Hey, Jack." She greeted him. "Sorry for kind of abandon you yesterday, but at least you got to meet Archie."

"He's a nice boy." Jack responded. "I approve of him."

"For David?" Rosie asked.

"Of course. I knew that boy was gay before he knew." Jack chuckled.

"Anyway, how's the gang going?"

"Its disbanding."

"What?"

"I want a normal life, Rosie. I want to be able to sleep without a gun under my bed."

"I understand that Jack but it's not that easy."

"It is when you have enough allies." He said smugly.

I put eggs and bacon on to two plates and handed them to Rosie and Jack.

"Thank you, son." Jack said as he began eating.

"Call me Jonathan."

Rosie dug into her food.

"So when do you two plan to get married?" Jack asked.

Rosie choked on her food.

I tapped her back to stop her from choking.

After she recovered she looked a Jack with wide eyes.

"Jack I'm 19." She said.

"So? Some people get married when they're 17." He pointed out.

"He's got a point." I said.

"What about you, Jonathan, ever thought about marriage?"

"If I had to marry anyone, I would gladly marry Rosie."

She blushed as I kissed her forehead.

"Can't wait to plan it out." Jack smiled.

"Ok, I'm done with you two. I'll be I'm the library."

"Oh, do you need me to--" She cut me off.

"No. I can walk." She glared.

She got up from her seat and wobbled out of the room.

A smirk grew on my face.

Rosie's POV

I examined the shelves for a book.

Specifically one about white wolves.

I wanted to read more about them since no one in this pack has a white wolf.

I finally found one called White Canine. It was written about a year ago.

I sat down at the table and began reading it.

White wolves are known to have stronger connections to the Moon Goddess.

The Moon Goddess gives them special abilities.

So far the last recorded white wolf was a female alpha who passed away centuries ago.

Then one before her was a rogue who died about ten years before her.

Not much is known about white wolves but the last one had written down all of her struggles and abilities.

Those who are chosen to be white wolves shift at different times.

They shift at a really young age or much later after regular wolves shift.

I paused my reading and started to skim the entire book.

Once I got to the last page something caught my eye.

The last line in the book.

White wolves are not able to find their mates only their mate can find them.

Mates are real!?

******************************

Oh no!?

What do you think is going to happen!?

Sad news: The next chapter in the book is the last chapter😢

I will be making a sequel. Sometime in the summer.

Plus an epilogue.

I'm going to miss my Moon Fire Pack.

In the next chapter, I will give you guys all the details for the sequel.
