"Why would the prophets lead us to our deaths?" the Elite asked.

"I don't know, but all I want is for our home to stay safe. I don't care for unnecessary bloodshed." Aimilios said, the Elite thought for a moment and then he put away his sword and reached down.

"I will help you, peace would be beneficial for both of our races." the Elite said, Aimilios took off his helmet and spat blood onto the floor, placed his helmet back on and grabbed the Elites hand. He was pulled to his feet as a loud bang attracted their attention.

"Is that what I think it is?" the Elite asked.

"Shit! tell your men to fire on that ship!" Aimilios said watching as the flood covered ship flew down towards the planet.

"Fire!" the Elite yelled, the scarab fired again and again at the ship doing damage, but not enough.

"Command this is Aimilios, we have a flood infected ship, get all our people airborne now!" Aimilios yelled.

"Rodger we are already leaving, we will leave you one ship, be advised if you aren't there in t-45 it will leave, that is all." command said, Aimilios took a deep breath.

"We got you Aimilios! 45 minutes, get here!" Patches said, Aimilios looked to the Elite.

"I'm destroying this planet. Do you have a ride out?" he asked, the Elite went downstairs and came up. He shook his head.

"They say our sacrifice will not be in vain." the Elite said.

"Fuck. That. Get your men, I'll get you off this planet." Aimilios said, the Elite looked surprised.

"Why would you do that?" the Elite asked.

"Because, I've seen what the flood do to people, thats a fate worse then death, I would not wish that on anyone." Aimilios explained, he walked to the edge.

"There is a Fission reactor nearby Aimilios." Alpha informed.

"Show me." Aimilios said, his HUD blipped a point, he looked from the reactor to the exfil.

"It will be close but we can make it." Aimilios said, he turned and faced the group of Elites. Their commander nodded.

"We will do what we can to help, we have no love for these parasites as well." the commander Elite said.

"looks like we could-" Aimilios was cut off by a huge explosion and highway they were on broke, the scarab fell and landed on its side.

"*Cough* *Cough* Everyone okay?"Aimilios asked, most of the Elites forces didn't move, but the Commander nodded and stepped forward. "Lets move, we don't have time to lose." the Elite said and they started running towards the reactor.

"Parasites!" the Elite said roaring. The flood ran for them, most were killed before they could reach them but the few that got through took down 3 of the 5 other Elites that were with them. One tried to get on the commander but Aimilios grabbed it and threw it beneath his boot.

"Thank you, I wont forget this." the Elite said bowing his head. "Good to hear it, whats your name?" Aimilios asked.

"Asaroth." Asaroth said bowing his head.

"Aimilios." Aimilios said as they began running again, the flood retreated, no doubt to gather for another wave. This time they made it to the reactor before the wave started.

"Alpha go!" Aimilios yelled, the A.I. moved into the reactor. Aimilios turned back to the flood, this time with bodies. Aimilios fire and fired, brass hitting the ground as much as they did. "Watch out!" Asaroth urged, too late. Aimilios was knocked to the ground, he looked back up at the Elite bodied flood. It roared at him, then a sword pierced it and was thrown off. Asaroth extended a hand. "Thank you." Aimilios said as he stood back up.

"A life for a life." Asaroth said simply, his men were decimated but they stood alone. Firing against the endless flood.

"We're ready, we must leave in 10 minutes, that is the amount of time we have left to the evacuation." Alpha said, Aimilios nodded to Asaroth and they charged towards the exfil. They fought many flood, hundred of thousands of spores and hundreds of bodied ones.

Finally they pushed through a flood group and saw the Pelican. Everyone was firing like mad keeping the flood off. Aimilios tried to fire.

"*Click**Click*"

His weapon was empty, they all were empty."SHIT! RUN!" Aimilios yelled, he and Asaroth ran to the pelican. Aimilios stumbled and fell.

"SARGE!" Boom yelled, he was held back by the others, the LZ was filled with flood.

"GO! To the cliff!" Aimilios ordered as they ran, the pelican flew up and hovered over the cliff nearby, Asaroth and Aimilios ran for it, Aimilios grabbed a rifle from a dead marine and turned to cover as the approached the edge.

"Get on board!" Aimilios ordered, he jumped on and Aimilios turned as the Pelican took off, he landed with both feet on the edge, he lost his balance and nearly fell back, if not for Asaroth, who grabbed his arm and pulled him to safety.

"Ghost! This thing got on board!" Boom said pointing his rifle at Asaroth.

"Stand down! He's on our side!" Aimilios ordered stepping in front of Asaroth, the others looked to him confused.

"Let me explain." Aimilios said as he sat down, Asaroth stood awkwardly at the now closed door.

"Sit, you're welcome here." Aimilios said motioning to a seat next to him, the Elite sat and looked at everyone. Aimilios was halfway through explaining when a huge boom rocked the pelican.

"Punch it!" Aimilios ordered.

"Its punched!" Cat yelled back. They had barely escaped the atmosphere when the flames engulfed the world.

"Thats two you've destroyed Aimilios." Boom laughed.

"With my luck, it will be twenty before im retired.... wait, where's Yang?" Aimilios asked looking around.

"Medical took him soon after we took off." Yin said sounding utterly depressed.

"I apologize for my men... if only we had known sooner the treachery of the prophets, we could have ended this foolishly bloody war years ago." Asaroth said kneeling before Yin, he looked extremely uncomfortable as he looked to Aimilios. Aimilios laughed and walked to the cockpit.

"Cat take us to the ship." He said smiling.

"Command will want a report, should we tell them about the Elite?" Cat asked nervously. Aimilios groaned.

"No, I can tell them when I get there." He said walking back and talking with his squad.
