36. Hidden

3 R D P E R S O N

It had been a few days since the failed mission. Vincent urged his cousin-in-law to stay one of Alec's houses hidden deep within the mountains in the Alpes for a week or so, as he knew it would be much safer. Although use to love the alpes when she was younger, she was nervous during the ride to the destination.

One wrong move and she would be tumbling off the edge of a mountain, probably to her death.

At least she had not only Andreana accompanying her, but also Emma and Charles.

"I'm not going out there." Charles grimly says as Adreana pulls him towards the front door of the giant cabin.

"Pleaseeeee!" Andreana begged "I'll be good!"

"No it's 9pm, and it's getting dark."

"But- just can I?!"

"No, why do you want to go outside so much anyway it's so cold?"

"Andreana time for bed," Caitlyn appears halfway down the stairs. "Come on." She smiled.

Andreana drops her bright pink snow jacket on a large wine colored rug, followed by her snow boots. Then the child races upstairs, past Caitlyn to brush her teeth and begin debating which story she was going to read.

Caitlyn began walking down the stairs as Charlie fell back in a slump, "I don't understand why I have to be locked up." Caitlyn rants, "My life isn't a fairy tale where the prince will rescue me. When he was the one that decided 'Oh lets hide you and others far away where you could possibly get killed by an avalanche' or something."

"You know they try did this for your protection." Charles informs her, "Fernando is a sickly person."

"I know."

As the giant metal gates come into view Darius carries on driving towards them. Once close to the gates he see's 2 of his father's gaurds.

"I'm here to meet Fernando" He confidently tells them, through the window. "My father." The gaurds glance at each other before talking unto a walky talky. After the person on the otherside communicates back, the gaurds eyes widen and quickly open the grey gates.

Darius continues driving a little longer until he see's his childhood house at the end of the road. It was more of a castle than a house. White painted walls, beautiful flowers planted everywhere. Yet deep down he knew he knew this place was hell in disguise.

Growing up Darius remembered hearing gunshots in the night. Terrifying screams of the tortured and soon to be dead, pleads of men and women. But most importantly, he remembers the aftermath. The crimson colored blood that oozed out of the victim, onto the floor.

More gaurds escort Darius into the main room which was also nicknamed the death room.

Darius had killed many people in that room before and thought nothing of it. But when he was forced someone who meant dearly to him. Those memories flashed before his eyes.

The person he killed was a girl about his age, with beautiful honey eyes that glistened un the sunlight and long coal colored hair .

It was the then 16 year olds first girlfriend, his father forced him to doing it to show that love is just fantasy. To show love was weak, and that his son only had his eyes on her for lust. But it all wasn't true, Darius loved Izzy. Those were his last words to her before he pulled the trigger, and Izzy's response was 'I know,' before she fell limp onto the floor.

When the gaurds left the devil began to speak. "Good to see you son," Fernando smugly says, staring out the window. "Thank you for informing me about the attack."

"Don't call me your son, you are not my father." Darius spits out with pure hatred glaring at his father's balding head.

"You're learning," Fernano replies with surprise as he carried on looking out his window, into the forrest that surrounded the home. "You'll make a great future leader for the family business."

"Really why?" Darius says sarcastically. "I mean I have nothing to lose, you made me kill the only girl I actually had feelings for."

"You were a teenager Darius, love is dumb at that age." Fernando tells his son, "Love is dumb at any age."

Darius' eyes the into slits, "You don't know what love is!" He argued back, "You killed the only woman who actually loved you and she's burnt to ash because of y-"

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Fernando roared, whipping his body around to face Darius'.

He never expected to see Darius had was armed with a gun which aimed right at his father's head.

"You did say I'll make a great future leader for the family business. That was about a mere minute ago and we may be in the present. But then, is was the future. When better to start running the business than... Now." Darius said dryly with his fingers gently settling on the trigger.

"Darius, maybe we should speak about this." Fernando tried to stall as his right hand reached under his desk to grab his hidden pistol. "I'm really sorry for what happened to your mother. I loved her so much."

Lies. Darius thought, he knew that if he loved her, he wouldn't have beaten her, he wouldn't have kept her captive for a days, he wouldn't have left her there to burn.

Fernando took this chance to grab the pistol and shoot his own blood.

Then, gun shots rang through the building for everyone to hear.

So.... hello.
