2-‘Minus The Monkeys Swimming About Then Yes, I Love The Pool’

We all ate dinner together. Mom came home-well, not our real home-later than she thought she would. Harvey sat on one side of me while Ryder sat on the other. The two wouldn’t stop. Never again will I sit by either of them. Now, it’s nine at night, and I’m slipping into a bikini.

Why?

All because of Zach. He said that he has a pool that has multi-colored lights. You can’t resist a pool with multi-colored lights.

I slide down the stairs and over to Zach, whose in blue swimming trunks. He winks wickedly, “That’s what I’m talking about.” I shove him as we walk out the front door and towards the right, where my mouth drops open.

First of all, the pool is huge. Its in this curvy design with dark blue tiles. He wasn’t lying about the changing lights. There’s a stone hot-tub with stairs next to it on a higher level of ground. Water trickles down the side and into the pool, creating a mini waterfall. On a different side of the pool is a tunnel where you can sit inside. On top of the tunnel is a slide that leads straight into the pool “I’m never leaving.”

He chuckles, “It’s heated too.”

Correction: I’m living here.”

He laughs and cannon balls into the pool. I copy him, diving in head first. The pool isn’t too hot; it’s still refreshing in the summer air. I float on my back, eyes looking up into the starry night sky.

And then I’m splashed with water.

Harvey, Ryder, Parker, Porter, and little Melody come jumping in like barbarians. Well, Melody is in floaties so she steps in. Ryder pops up right next to me with a smirk. “Love the bikini.”

I throw my hands onto his dark hair and dunk him under the water. Maybe he’ll stay under there long enough until he passes out. Somehow, he gets out of my grasp and comes back to the top, barely out of breath. “You’re turn.”

He comes at me with his hands, but I scream and swim with all my might to the other end of the pool. He’s fast too, though, so I take plan B. I hoist myself up near the hot tub, putting my hand on the little hole where the waterfall is flowing through. I pull my self into the hot tub before he can grab onto me. I peer over it to see him still smirking at me. “Ha.”

He rolls his eyes and dives under the water and away from me. I relax in the hot water for a minute before standing up and jumping back into the pool. I swim over to a seat built in. Zach comes to sit next to me. “Like the pool?”

“Minus the monkeys swimming about then yes, I love the pool.”

Chuckling, he leans back into the seat. “Watch this.” He scoots closer to me, putting his arm around my waist and leaning in to whisper in my ear. “Now, look at Ryder.” My eyes automatically find Ryder’s. Only he’s staring at the both of us, tense and jaw clenched. “See? Pretend to laugh.” I find myself laughing. It makes Ryder look angry. Zach leans back in his seat again, smirking.
