Song: Monster - EXO✨

'I'll knock so will you let me in? I'll give you a hidden thrill. There's curiosity in your eyes, you've already fallen for me.'

Okay, so we entered through the door. But I'm not sure to be thankful or not because a few steps forward, there was a second door to open. You know that buffer space some rooms ought to have? Yeah that. We were caught in between this little area separating the outside from their waiting room.

"Hey. A-are we just gonna hide here and leave or what?" I nudged Mel when all she cared about was trying to hear what was going on through the second door. Her ears were peeled to the door and she was frowning as she tried to eavesdrop the other side. While she was at it, I briefly scanned the area we landed ourselves in until I spotted a box of items sitting at a corner.

Curiosity got to me so I bent over to take a peek in it. There was a packet of disposable masks, a few black-colored caps (the cheap quality ones, unfortunately) and some tissues, wires, and cables.

Maybe a little disguise would be good, so I borrowed what I needed at the moment. Let's not use the word 'steal' because I don't really have that intention and I was really desperate not to get caught at the moment.

I took two of each: the mask and the cheap caps. One for me and for Mel.

"Put this on first," I tossed it at Mel who was still busy trying to act like a spy. She mouthed a thank you before continuing her mission. "So? Can you even hear anything?" I asked after wearing my mask and cap.

"Honestly? I think this room is soundproof. I hear no shit," she commented with great disappointment in her voice.

"Come on, let's get out of here," I said, but she grabbed my arm and held me back.

"You serious? After being here? Being this near to them? Of course we're not leaving yet!"

"Then what?! What do you suggest we do?!"

"We should go in!"

"AGAIN?" I questioned harder, feeling double the stress compared to the first time we tried to open up.

"Y-O-L-Ö, Rosie."

"BUT WHAT DO WE SAY!" I groaned, really not in favour of her proposal. I don't want to barge in on them because that would be too rude and inconsiderate of us. In fact, I already felt ashamed for opening the door the first time, but Mel didn't seem to care. "Give yourself 5 more seconds and I'm opening up." She warned me. I gulped hard, feeling the guilt sit like a rock in my throat. I stupidly wished there was a third door behind this one.

"5, 4..." She counted down for me, "3..."

Should I just grab her and run out of this ridiculous situation? By out I mean out of this backstage place, not barging into their waiting room.

"... 2..."

Man, I think she will hate me for this. I grabbed her hand, just about to turn for the exit.

And then the door opened.

I took a shock step back, my first instinct was to cover up my face with the mask. Thank god I borrowed that. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Mel doing the same. We both froze for a good three seconds, just trying to make sense of the situation. And, oh my gosh, Mel didn't open it. The other side did.
