Chapter 5 (The ball)

Lance's pov
I was swimging around and greeting people while trying to get outside but every time I got close the guards would stop me and tell me to take it easy for the night or to just relax. I know I should Listen and just take a break, even just a small one but I couldn't help but feel like some thing bad was going to happen.

"Hey Lance! Come over here!" I hear Hunk yell, I sigh and go to where he was.

"What is it Hunk? Got some thing to show or tell me?" I ask messing with the silk on my arms till I felt comfortable.

"Yeah, do you know why we're having this party?"

"Um, of course. This is to celebrate my sister becoming queen, is it not?" I ask looking at my sister who was happily dancing with a handsome Merman named Shimmer and his sister Shine. 'Their parents are great company.' I think to myself as I chuckle lightly.

"Well yes but it's also to celebrate two kingdoms ending their war and making peace to the oceans of the sea." Pidge said in a matter of fact tone, joining the conversation.

"Exactly and in order to have peace restored to the sea, the Prince of the rival kingdom wants to marry the princess before she becomes queen but it's to late for that so he decided he'd take the prince's hand in marriage and the Prince who is also known as a brave warrior would join his kingdom," Hunk said nervously but hid it surprisingly well.

"These two kingdoms are the kingdom of the Galra and the kingdom of Mermainia." Pidge finished and backed up for Hunk to say the last of their lecture.

"Lance, this is your future husband." Hunk swam out of the way to show a tall Merman with light purple skin, a dark long tail, long silky white hair that was put into a brade, pointed ears like my own, and yellow glowing eyes that made me feel dizzy when looking directly as them. He had sharp teeth and a piece of black cloth tied around his left upper arm.

"Hello my dear, so nice to finally meet you," The Purple Galran Prince said with a smirk before taking my right hand and kissing it gently and I only imagained the winged man doing the same. "I've heard so much about you my Prince."

I look at the other Prince taking in his facial features and I couldn't help but look into those glowing eyes. "Prince Lotor, it's certainly been awhile considering the last time I saw you it was with blades covered in the blood of my own kind." I simply glared at the Prince as he looked at me displeased with my attitude.

"If we're going to get married you must learn to control that mouth of yours." Hunk and Pidge had left at this point to give us some time alone.

The Prince grabbed my wrists roughly causing me to yelp in pain. Despite being a strong warrior, I was never good with pain but none of my men really knew that.

"You are still as fragile as I remember. I think I made the right choice of waiting to marry you instead of that stubborn sister of yours," The man smirked before continuing. "I simply can't wait for our wedding, it will be nothing less than perfect for you."

I manage to pull my hands away from the Galran Prince. "I'm sorry to leave so soon but I must talk to my sister." I say before swimming far, far away from him and looking for Allura.

After awhile of looking I found her talking to Pidge and of course she was blushing at something Pidge said. I sigh before deciding to ignore it and swim up to the two.

"Hey, I don't mean to interrupt but Allura, we need to talk." I say taking the place in front of the girls.

"Oh, it's not a problem Lance. I was just leaving any way, see ya around princess." Pidge said before leaving quickly

I look at my sister for a moment before speaking.

"Why didn't you tell Me?"
"About wha-"
"Don't play dumb, you know exactly what I'm talking about!" I shout interrupting my sister and she sighs.
"Lance, it was for your own good and for the good of the kingdom. This needs to happen-"
"No! I will not marry him no matter what. You can't force me."
"Lance please-"
"No, Don't try to talk me into marrying him! I refu-"
"Lance! You must do this!"
"No! I won't marry someone I don't love!"
"Lance you ple-"
"I can't!"
"Why not!?"
"Be cause I love someone else!" I yell tears in my eyes threatening to fall.
"Who Lance? Who do you love so much that you would let your kingdom fall to war because you have a crush!?" I was so mad and sad and just confused I didn't even know my own emotions, it's like I wasn't the one speaking.

"He's a pirate!"

Hi guys. I know it's been awhile but here's an update. I'll try to update again soon but yeah that's all for now. Hope you enjoy, it is a little harder to write because I have trouble writing at home and SOLs are coming up, I have one tomorrow so wish me luck but before I go I want to say thank you for 100+ reads it mean alot so thank you and untill next time
