"Bye! Thank you, Dinah!" Lauren calls as she shuts the car door and jogs to her apartment in hopes of staying dry.
After changing her shirt, deciding to keep wearing the sweatpants Dinah had just bought her, she grabs her pacifier and curls up in bed to watch a movie.
Once she'd finished changing and washing her hands, she had tried to give the older woman back the money she had spent on the sweatpants but the blonde had firmly declined, eventually giving in and offering a compromise which Lauren had hesitantly accepted. Dinah had made it very clear that she didn't want any money but the younger girl could pay her back through spending the rest of the morning with her at the mall.
Whilst sitting in a coffee shop, Lauren had learned Dinah was 23 and in a long term relationship with her girlfriend, Ally who is 25. She had also found out that the couple were looking for a little to care for and Dinah had definitely expressed an interest in getting to know her better.
Dinah said she'd pretty much guessed Lauren was a little when she saw her, from her panicked state and teary eyes to the puddle on the floor where she was sitting, there wasn't much room for doubt in the blonde's mind.
The Cuban however, was a lot more weary. She'd never had a caregiver before and honestly, she was scared of having one; stuff she'd seen online being the main cause of her fear.
But even after knowing Dinah for only a few hours, she knew she felt connected to and wanted to be close to the woman.
She glances over at her phone on the nightstand, almost trying to urge it to go off. The blonde had said she'd text her about meeting up again and as much as she was trying to convince herself that she didn't really care, Lauren knew that she couldn't wait for the message to come through.
Just as she goes to reach for the phone, it dings loudly and she quickly grabs it.
