A Letter To My Readers

In the creases of these pages,
I know I sound like I only ever thinking about me,
But when I'm away from these pages,
I only think about other people,
Maybe you don't believe me,
I wouldn't believe me,
But nevertheless
The walls I depict in these pages are not just a figment of my imagination,
They are as real as the air I breathe,
So when I complain about someone,
Or use "I" too many times to count,
I'm not going to apologize,
Because if I don't vent to something,
Even if it just in black and white,
Even if its just to non-existent readers of my bad poetry,
Maybe,
Just maybe,
I'll be able to survive one more day,
Because those walls people call fake,
Protect me, yes,
But they also kill me.

I noticed I was using I a lot and I didn't want to sound like a selfish bitch. So I wrote this.
