The rain is pouring
And once again I'm touring an old memory
But I push it down,
down deep where no one hears about it,
even after years it still stings like a open wound, and while I sit in my room with my head down in my book I fight the urge to look inside all my feelings in fear of letting them in.
Oh dear, do you ever hear what you're saying?
Oh dear, did you ever fear the end?
Oh dear, why I am still here trying to forget everything with a beer.
Once again the rain is pouring
The rain is still pouring and your mouth is still pouring the gory words that were never true.
But dear, I don't see you as I once did
I see you through the weariness and the fearing of knowing the truth
Even after the abuse that I eventually got used too, I was left out of juice
