Mockingjay Ending Continued

Chapter 40

Katniss POV

Haymitch leads Peeta and I down a hallway. That I didn't know the hovercraft had. "Will you tell me where we are going"

"Paylor will cover that in the meeting" Haymitch says

After about 5 minutes of walking around the hovercraft, Hatmitch finally walking are room. "Finally" Peeta mumbles under his breath

Haymitch starts to walk away "Wait, where are you going?"

"Oh ya I forgot that this meeting is for you and Peeta only." he says

With that he leave for good. Peeta is already sitting in one of the wooden chairs staggered around the room.

"Now do you think she is up to something?" I ask him

"Well I...." he sentence gets cut short when Paylor walks in the room

"Hello" she says

"Hello" Peeta says

I say nothing is just look at her dead in the eyes. She turns away and offers me a seat.

I sit next to Peeta and she pulls a chair in front of us both. "So I bet you are wondering why I called this meeting with you two"

"Yes" Peeta says, I just nod my head not wanting to talk to her

"Well we have some information about Snows son"

"What is it?" Peeta asks

"For starters his name is Mike he went to live in District 6 at the age of 19 when he left the Capital. We don't know why he left but we think something happened between him and his father. Also we are not sure why he is mad at you two." Paylor tells us

"Now the reason you guys are here is to be a distraction"

"Why do you need a distraction?" I ask

"Well our theory is that if he attacked you once and got Gale and not you, then he is going to try again." She says

"great" I groan

"Woderful I will see you to when we land" Paylor says

"Wait" I ask ask Paylor turns around

"Where are we going?"

"It's for me to know and you to find out" She says with an evil smirk on her face

As soon as she leaves I turn to Peeta and say "Now do you believe me?"

"Yes a little but she still has not done anything bad" he says

"Well I will prove it to you" I tell him

I start to walk out the door but he grabs my arm and turns me around. He doesn't say a thing but instead he leans in a kisses me and I do not hesitate to return the kiss. "Now you can go prove it but I am coming with you."

"Fine" I say with a smile on my face

"Shall we go Mrs. Mellark?" He says in a Capital ascent

"We shall Mr. Mellark."

He holds out his hand and I gladly take it. "And we're off" he say in a Capital voice

I could not stand it I burst out laughing and so did he. This is one of the first times I have really laughed in a while.
