Chapter 20

Katniss' POV

It has been a week since Gale had been shot and today is the day he gets to go home.

Peeta goes to check h out while I help him into the wheelchair because he still can walk because of the shot in his leg. "So are you going back to 2?" I ask him

"Well no because I kind of got fired and that is why I came to 12 so I could tell you that." he say

"Oh where are you going to stay?" I ask

"Well I don't know I guess I will find a house somewhere." he says

"I have an idea what about you stay with Peeta and I until you find and house of your own."

"I guess but will he let me stay at the house?" he asks

"I don't know I would have to ask

We find Peeta at the front desk just signing the last of the papers. "Hey Peeta can I talk to you I privet for a minute." I ask him

"Sure what's up." he says while I pull him to the side

"Okay so let me just get to the point the whole reason Gale can back to 12 was because he got fired and he wanted to tell me and long story short he has nowhere stay so I was wondering if he could stay with us until he finds a house."I say that last part really fast

"What was that last part?" He asks

"I said I was wondering if he could stay with us until he found a house." I say

"Wait you are talking about Gale who's bombs could have killed her."

"Yes that Gale I mean he is still my best friend." I say

"I guess he can stay but he has to leave as so as he finds a new house. Plus he has to promise some things." he say

"Thanks you I love you

So much." I say giving him a kiss

"I love you too"

I walk back over to Gale and say "He said you can stay but just until you get and job and he also said that you had to promise him something's." I say

"Okay thanks catnip."

We go back to Peeta's house in the victors village and when we finally make it a back from the hospital Peeta says "Hey Gale can I talk to you over there for a minute?"

"Sure I guess so" Gale say

"We will be right in Katniss and then I will make dinner" Peeta says

"Okay" i say turning around I wonder what they are going to talk about I might not know now but I will find out.
