When Mitch first came in, he was terrified of everyone and everything. No one could calm him down. Jerome got the job a little after Mitch came in and was asked to see if he could calm down our eel friend. Mitch was first uneasy but when Jerome brought in a music box and some shells, Mitch finally accepted help and staid close to him.
No one knows why or how this was calming to Mitch.
