It was my birthday today.

But nobody really knew much about it since I didn't bother exploiting it. I hated birthdays, mostly because nobody really said anything to me about it that day. I never got a lot of attention, and when I did it was just a hug. I've noticed that as we get older people slowly start to forget whether it was an intentional thing or not.

Either way, I basked into the solace of the house. No one was home today, they all went out to run some errands while I insisted on staying home against Serge's judgement. The sun was about to set, as the clock read 7:45.

I sighed while raking my fingers through my bushy hair, as I sat down on the love seat and flyed through channels on my remote. I was watching the same movie that I last saw with Darren, and it was nearly sundown.

Since I wasn't related to Tom and Gloria by blood. I wasn't considered an heir through those standards...Tom contradicted himself. I mentioned that piece of information to Royce, who in turn, didn't seem so surprised. I just think he was trying to not to act so thrown off by the news.

Royce and the court of six were going to handle the clan. They were going to exterminate them.

After all...the court of six weren't very forgiving.

He wasn't the type to be easily fooled, and when he was he would pretend that he foolishly knew about it. Nikolas disappeared after the pack meeting, he was never heard or seen of since. Callias still didn't accept him and neither did the pack members.

They weren't very forgiving sadly.

I'm sure that we would see him again.

He made a spit brotherhood promise to me after all. I smirked silently. Mark decided to take a break from his practice, and decided to go after what he really wanted next to his career...his mate. I softly smiled to myself...we all deserve happiness.

Even those that did us harm. Whenever somebody hurts you...its because they are hurt themselves, and we should be more forgiving of them more then hate them. And those that hurt you, hurt others because they need acceptance themselves.

And the best way to to do that is through forgiveness.

I forgive Kristoff for hurting me. It was not an easy thing for me to do, but it lifted a great weight off of my shoulders.

I checked the clock in the corner again and they still weren't here. I frowned.

It was five minutes past 7:45. He should be here by now...the man that I want to spend the rest of my life with. The man that I love. The love of my life.

The sunset peaked through my window blinds, as the stillness grew heavy. A gloved hand sneaked its way and cupped my mouth making me muffle out a yelp as I struggled to get out of his hold. The gloved hand held a piece of cloth that was filled with chloroform.

The man placed a warm and calloused hand on my shoulder making me jump up in surprise as the darkness welcomed me into a deep slumber. "Sweet dreams...darling." He whispered into my ear as his breath tickled it slightly.

By the time my eyelids fluttered open, it blinked hard and fast in order to try to avoid the sharp and bright light that suddenly struck and hit my face.

I groaned when I went to close my eyes again.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you love." A familiar heavy accented voice drawled out. In shock, my eye lids flew open as I sat my body half way up.

"Serge!" I cried out in shock and surprise.

He chuckled while he took out a bouquet of roses for me as his eyes sparkled. "You honestly don't think I would forget your birthday did you?" He asked with an amused eyebrow.

I blushed and looked down.

"I know everything about you. I can't believe you didn't say anything about it." He scoffed. I didn't respond to that. He set the bouquet of roses into a glass on nightstand gently. "Its your birthday today...you've got one wish. Name it and its done." He chuckled as he ruffled my hair, I playfully swatted his hand away from my face.

No one touches the fringe.

"The roses are beautiful." I whispered shyly as I played with hem of my shirt. I knew what I wanted, I was just too afraid to say it. "Go on." He pushed.

"I want to be with you forever." He chuckled..."I believe we already established that the other night." He winked...making me flush pink in embarrassment. "No...I meant, that I want--" Serge's eyes widened as he leaned back into his seat. "The blood conversion?"

I nodded as I refused to meet his eyes.

He nodded silently in agreement at the corner of my eye.

I whipped my head up to him in shock. I couldn't believe that he agreed so quickly.

"But once we start we can't go back." He warned teasingly, making me blush.

I numbly nodded my head to him as Serge's body hovered over mine as my eyes gave out. Love has no limits. Life sometimes teasingly tends to catch us off by surprise, and its those surprises in life that make life well...life.

The next morning...I hit my paws against the vast grassland and rolled around it with Serge who playfully pounced and nipped at me. I will always be his...rightfully his.

By the time Serge and I shifted back into our human forms, we headed back to the house where Callias stood in the middle of the room with a letter in his hands. He glanced up towards us with the other pack members surrounding us.

His eyes brimmed red with tears threatening to fall making my heart plummet down to my stomach.

He handed the letter to me numbly and looked the other way; refusing to meet my eyes.

Dearest Logan,

If you want your little friend back...find me.

My eyes gazed up towards Callias who refused to meet anyone's eyes as tears shamelessly spilled down his cheeks. I scrunched up the letter in between my fingertips as a sudden wave of determination flowed through me.

We're going to get him back.

No matter what it takes.
