“We've been working for two hours!”, I yelled.
“Ok.”, Jackie replied. “You can have a break for 30 MINUTES. Then be hack in this studio.”
“30 MIN---?!”, I stopped when Jackie gave me a glare. “Iight... 30 minutes.”
I dragged myself over to Issa who was talking to my background dancers. He turned to me. “DAMN!”, he yelled. “You look like you just walked into a stank ass waterfall.”
“Shut the hell up.”, I replied.
Issa laughed and Renee gasped. “OH MY GOODNESS.”, she said happily. “YOUR SO MUCH CUTER IN PERSON.”
“Thanks.”, I sipped some of my bottled water.
“Yeah. Your really cute.”, Sharanda gave me a sly smile.
Dang, honey was fine. Her smile made me want to go crazy.
“Thank you, also. Um, imma go change. Gotta get out of these sweaty clothes.”, I said. I turned to Sharanda. “See you later.”
She gave me a big smile, and I walked into the locker room of the studio.
(Prod POV)
I looked in my review mirror, and seen Ray staring out the window. I've been driving for 10 minutes, and he hasn't said a word. I know he just lost his girl, and is more down then anyone can ever be. That's why I don't understand why he is facing Jacob so soon. I stopped at a red light.
“Aye, Ray.”, I looked at him in the mirror. He looked up.
“You sure you iight?”, I asked.
“Yeah. I told you I was good, bro.”, he stared at me in the review mirror with a strange look. It wasn't a look of hurt, or a look of misery. It was a look of anger and mischevious.
The light turned green, and I took my gaze of him. I turned left and drove into the dance studio parking lot.
(Jacob POV)
“655904.”, I whispered to myself as I put in the combination lock. I tugged on it, and the locker opened. I grabbed my clothes in the locker, and changed into them. After slipping my shirt on, I turned to hear someone calling my name.
“Jacob?”, Sharanda stood in the door of the locker room.
“Hey.”, I put my sweaty clothes in the locker.
“You done changing and everything? I have a favor.”
I walked toward her. “Yeah. What's up?”
Sharanda dug in her pocketbook and pulled out a sharpie marker. “Can you sign something for me?”
Before I could answer, I looked in the side of my eye and saw Ray Ray in the door giving me a glare. He had his brown DOMO book bag in his hand, and slowly walked toward me.
“Ray?”, I asked backing up. He continued to walk toward me without saying a word.
“Who is that?”, Sharanda said holding my arm.
“Um... leave.”, I told her. “Leave now. I need to talk to him about something.”
She stared at me for a few minutes and rushed out the locker room.
I bumped in the corner of the wall, and Ray continued walking toward me. Ray unzipped his backpack, and said, “You know I loved Mya right?”
I shook my head. “I know man. I know...”
“NAW.” Ray stopped in his tracks. “No, you DONT know.”
He chuckled and walked back and forth in front of me. “I mean, I REALLY loved that girl. Soooooo much.... that I would KILL for her.”
Ray turned facing me and picked his book bag up again. “You practically killed her right? So, what tells me that I shouldn't kill you?”
“Kill me?!”, I yelled. “Ray....dude....”
“YOU THINK THIS IS A JOKE?!”, Ray reached into his bookbag and pulled out a long, silver, knife.
My eyes widened. “RAY! Forreal, man. I'm sorry!”
“OH! YOUR SORRY NOW?! You wasn't sorry before.” Ray walked up to me and grabbed my neck. I tried to fight back, but he had me in a headlock. His arms wrapped tight around my neck, and had me facing the wall.
“You miss Mya?”, he asked. “BECAUSE I DO!”
“Yeah, man, I MISS HER. She's my freakin cousin! You think I MEANT to kill her, bro?!”, he then put the knife exactly at my neck.
“Forreal? Well, I'm about to miss you too, nigga.”
(Prod POV)
“What's taking Ray so long?” , I sat on the floor with Issa.
He shrugged his shoulders. “But, he has to finish this dance routine.” Issa stood up and walked toward the locker room. I followed behind.
Something strange and unsual I saw on Issa face. Then he yelled, “RAY! WHAT THE HELL MAN?!”
I rushed beside Issa and saw Ray with a long knife in his hand and Jacob in a headlock. He walked toward us, and said, “Close the door.”
We hesitated and exchanged glances.
“CLOSE THE DAMN DOOR!”, Ray screamed.
Issa rushed over the door, closed, and locked it.
I turned to Ray and said, “Put the knife DOWN.”
Ray laughed at me. “Why, Prod? WHY?”
“Because, man. It's not even worth it.”
“It really IS. It's fair. He hurts my gf, I hurt him.” Ray moved his arm away from Jacob's neck, and put the knife directly at it.
Jacob flinched.
“COME ON, RAY. Quit being like that, don't kill him.”, Issa pleaded.
I stepped closer to Ray. “WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS RAY?! HUH? YOUR GOING TO KILL JACOB TO LET YOUR ANGER OUT, THEN YOUR GOING TO GO STRAIGHT TO JAIL. AND WHEN YOU DO, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO THEN?! BE MAD AT SOMEONE ELSE FOR BEING IT JAIL?! NO. NO! JUST STOP.”
Ray gave me a look, and right in that second the knife slid across Jacob's throat....
