Present:

Sipping my tea as if the therapist wasn't there; mostly because I wish she wasn't there. Analyzing me, making sure I'm the proper girl and not crazy enough to be locked up for three months in a mental hospital. The silence was long and tense almost like the room was a person and it stopped breathing. The only thing you could hear was the therapist writing away with an occasional side glance at me.

Cutting the silence with a swift knife of words she said "Would you like to tell me why your here Emma?".

Setting my tea down, I cleared my throat feeling my stomach drop as I started to remember all that has happened " I don't really know.." that was a lie.

The therapist let out a sigh of stress letting me know that this will go way over my original session "We both know that's not true" sitting with legs crossed now with her tight pencil skirt "How about we start with the beginning of summer? Shall we?" .

Closing my eyes trying to pretend like I have forgotten I spoke softly and quietly so she'll listen more intently "It started when I moved to Michigan... I met quite a lot of people that I thought would be in my life well longer then most people do..".

The wrinkles on her face smiled a bit but just a little "-and how was that?".

Shrugging "It could've been better".
