I finish the last finishing touches on my makeup as I hear a knock on the door must be Isaac. "Just a minute" I yell hoping they can hear me, probably not.
I grab my purse and phone and scurry to the door "hey Isaac-" "oh hey Nick?" "Hey Maddy I was wondering if you wanted to watch the baseball game with me?" "Actually-" "hey Maddy" I see Isaac come up behind Nick.
Nick turns around and you could see a hint of jealousy on his face "these are for you" "oh there beautiful Isaac thank you!" I walked over to the side table and set them down, as I come back I see Nick glaring at Isaac.
"I have to go Nick but maybe some other time?" I speak up knowing Isaac looks a little uncomfortable. "Oh yeah sure."

"So Isaac where are you from?" I took a sip of my drink waiting for a reply "I don't know if you know but Beacon Hills California" "oh my god really! My uncle lives out there with my cousin, I also heard a lot of weird stuff happens out there." "Like what?" He laughs "oh you know just your average werewolves and banshees." Isaac stops eating and stares at me with a blank face "I'm joking, you should've seen your face." I laugh he laughs nervously not knowing what to say. "That's good."
"So what made you come out here to this side of California?" "Actually I don't live here I'm just visiting for a couple weeks. Life in Beacon is hard." "Yeah I know how you feel that's why I moved here."
"Well enough of this sappy stuff let's just talk and enjoy our delicious meals" I say trying to put a real smile on my face. "So tell me Maddy earlier you said you had a cousin living in Beacon Hills-" I laughed "yes I do and let me guess, you want to know who my cousin is?"
He giggle putting his hand to his mouth "yes" he nodded, "well I can't tell you just yet" "you mean you won't" "I know it sounds rude it's just that's another thing I don't like talking about." "Well I know you said you don't like talking about but usually it's good to talk about things like that."
I take the last bite of my meal and give him a small smile "thank you but maybe next time."

"Thank you Isaac I had a really good time tonight" "me too, maybe we could do it again some other time." "Don't you have to go back to your parents soon?"
He scratches behind his neck "it's just um me I'm living with a friend now." "Oh I'm sorry" "no it's fine actually he's more of a brother to me." "That's good, I probably should get ready for bed I have to get up early in the morning the movers people are bringing my bed and couch." "Well if you need any help you can always call me, bye Maddy" "bye Isaac."
I closed the door walking to the kitchen to get a glass of water, I grab a glass walking over to the sink to get some water when I hear a knock on the door.
"Isaac did you leave someth-" I stop myself as I see Nick standing there with a tub of ice cream and two spoons. "Hi Nick" I smile "hey Maddy" he stands there awkwardly "oh sorry come in come in" "you look lovely tonight."
I blush putting a strand of hair behind my ear "thank you, you don't look to bad yourself" "oh yeah cause I look good wearing sweat pants and a hoodie" we both laugh and sit on the ground.
"So how did your date with Isaac go" "oh it went well he's a really sweet guy and we are alike in some ways." He coughs before saying "so uh do you think you'll go on more dates or get together?"
I take a bite of the ice cream "is someone jealous?" "No no no I was just wondering " "relax" I laugh "and to answer your question, no I don't think it will he doesn't live here."
"Oh I'm sorry" "it's fine I think I like someone" "who is it you've hardly been here for a week?" "I'm not telling you'll just have to wait."
