"Dammit" I yelled dropping the glasses, 'moving is so hard' I thought to myself, I let out a little laugh and drop to the floor picking up the pieces of glass that broke.
"Need a little help?" A voice came from behind me making me drop the glass I had in my hand. "Sorry" the boy says scratching the back of his neck "oh no it's fine moving in is such a hassle, how did you get in anyways?"
"The door was wide open I came over to introduce myself because I know what if feels like to move somewhere new, not having any friends. I actually moved in not to long ago too. Uh I'm Nick." He held out his hand waiting for me to shake it "Maddy, and how do you know I don't have any friends?" he laughed "sorry I just assumed" "you're right though" I laughed as well.
"So do you need help unboxing or anything?" "If you don't mind, don't you have plans today though?" "Actually your probably my first friend since I've moved here and I've been here for about a year now."
I chuckled "oh so we are friends?" I smirked damn he's hot. "Well uh-" I cut him off laughing "I'm joking, I mean we just met but we can be friends."

I handed him a glass of wine as I sat down next to him on the floor "so what brings you to California" he asked taking a sip from his wine. "A lot of things actually I mean first off my family lives here and I really don't want to get into detail with the other things. At least not now for all I know you could be trying to gain my trust then next thing I know kill me or something."
He laughed at my comment which made me laugh, his laugh could make anyone laugh no matter what condition your in, it's like it's contagious. "Well if I'm being honest if I was going to kill you I've would've probably already done it by now." I laughed and took a sip of my wine, I looked at my phone to see it was 2 in the morning.
"It's really late I should probably get going" he stands up as I grab the glass from him setting it on the side table. He opens the door and turns around "if you want you can come to my room. I'm sorry that sounded totally creepy what I meant was because you don't have a couch or a bed yet I have both so-" "it's fine Nick but thank you I'll just make a pallet on the floor. I mean I'm used to it anyways."
"Okay well I'll see you later than?" "Definitely yeah goodnight Nick" "Goodnight Maddy."
