[Chapter 20]

Sejun then broke the hug.

"But I was too late." - Sejun

Sejun then looked over at the woman that was only in his heart as Chaeyeon also looked at her mother.

"She may not be able to wake up anymore, but I have hope that she can hear us. I know she can hear us no matter how deep she is asleep." - Chaeyeon

Sejun smiled and hugged his daughter once again. Yoongi's heart softens after seeing a smile on Chaeyeon's face after so many chaos has been happening.

"Finally, I get to see that smile on your face." - Yoongi

ONE WEEK LATER

RyuJin let out a sigh as she watches everyone preparing for her wedding. As she was looking down at her hands, someone stood in front of her as she lifts up her head, only to see Jungkook. She quickly looks away as Jungkook sat down next to her.

"I know that you don't want to marry me but please ... endure it." - Jungkook

"How?" - RyuJin

She then looked at him as he did the same.

"How am I supposed to endure it when I feel so suffocated?" - RyuJin

Jungkook then looked away. As RyuJin was eyeing him, she saw the engagement ring on his finger, but that ring wasn't theirs, it was his and Chaeyeon's.

"Chaeyeon only made you to marry me because she wants the best for you. Instead of giving up, why don't you just show her that she's wrong? Why don't you show her that the only thing that is best for you is her being by your side. Think about that Jungkook." - RyuJin

RyuJin then got up and walked away as Jungkook sighed and watched her walking away.

As RyuJin's words echo in his head, the memories of them came popping up nonstop. The memories from when they first met to where she asked him to marry RyuJin. He was so into his memories that he didn't know tears streaming down his face.

He quickly wipes them away.

"Maybe RyuJin is right. What is wrong with me?" - Jungkook

Jungkook yelled at himself as he never thought of giving up on Chaeyeon so easily. He left her when she needed him the most. He left her when she was also in pain of letting him go.

But once he thought it through, it was already too late. Today is the wedding, he can't just cancel it like that. It'll ruin his family name also dragging his mother down with him.

Yoongi, Chaeyeon, Sejun, and Aunt Jiyoung was loading package boxes into the mansion house. While they were putting Chaeyeon's stuff in the house, they both hugged Chaeyeon as she did the same.

"Are you sure you want to live here?" - Aunt Jiyoung

Chaeyeon looks around the house and nodded her head.

"Yea. I want to bond more with my dad and also I think it's time for me to accept who I really am." - Chaeyeon

Aunt Jiyoung smiles at Chaeyeon as she did the same. Yoongi then came and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"I'm glad that you feel that way. That tells me that you're becoming more mature." - Yoongi

Yoongi then ruffles her hair as they both hugged. Sejun then walked over to them and land both of his hands on his hips, giving Chaeyeon the father stare.

"Aren't you forgetting what today is?" - Sejun

Chaeyeon arched her eyebrows in confusion as Aunt Jiyoung and Yoongi both exchanged stares.

"Today is Jungkook and RyuJin's wedding." - Sejun

Chaeyeon's expression went blank as she averted her eyes away from her father's stare.

"Why are you telling me this?" - Chaeyeon

"So that you will finally know what to do with your stubbornness." - Sejun

"I don't know what you're talking about." - Chaeyeon

"Chaeyeon. We all know that you still love him the same as before." - Aunt Jiyoung

Chaeyeon lowered her head down, avoiding their glances.

"Chaeyeon. I know that I have been telling you that you were doing the right thing but to be honest, you weren't." - Yoongi

Chaeyeon then looked up at him.

"You're giving away the love that you both have just because you two were different from one another. But I think status don't really matter in love. What really matters is how much you both are willing to sacrifice for one another." - Yoongi

"And also how much you both love each other." - Aunt Jiyoung

"Correct. Your mother and I were different and yet we still got married because we thought our love was strong enough to fight over any obstacles. But because of my stupidity, I lost your mother. Don't follow my steps, Chaeyeon. Follow what your heart is telling you." - Sejun

Chaeyeon sighs.

"If the love that you have for him and the love that he have for you is strong, then you shouldn't be worried about the future." - Yoongi

"I went through it before Chaeyeon and trust me, it'll hurt more if you let him get married to another woman today. You're just letting the perfect man sliding away from your hands that loves you to the point where he will throw away his status for you. There's no other man out there that like that these days." - Sejun

Chaeyeon was thinking over again at what they said to her.

"Go Chaeyeon. Go get your man back. Don't lose this chance." - Aunt Jiyoung

Chaeyeon chuckles as she gave them a smile while she grabbed the keys and ran out of the house and drove to the wedding that was being held.

"Hang in there, Jungkook. I'm coming." - Chaeyeon
