"..." I try to choke out a few words but nothing came out.

Then, V smiles and I felt something warm covering my hand.

With one arm to the wheel, V reaches out and holds my hand in his.

"I know. You were kind of cruel to forget but I don't hold that against you okay? Listen pigs, I know what you're going through, alam kong nahihirapan ka din. I would feel the same if I were you." He gives my hand a slight squeeze.

No, V.

Please don't spoil me.

Don't say such kind words.

Just admit na wala akong kwentang girlfriend.

Totoo naman talaga diba?

"You know, seeing you suffering like that makes it hard for me too." He admits and I look at him.

Tangna mo V, di yan ang gusto kong marinig!

I'm the bad one here.

Kahit hindi ko man ginawa....

The mere fact that I'm thinking of another man while having a boyfriend...

That's cheating.

Nakangiti siya pero parang sumisigaw naman sa lungkot ang mga mata niya.

"You're ugly when you cry. So please.... smile." He says in a low tone.

And just like that, I woke up to a realisation.

Mas nasasaktan pa siya kaysa saken.

Pero ayaw niyang nadedepress ako.

His words were so simple and yet, so kind.

Hindi siya nagalit.

Hindi niya ako sinisi.

Umintindi siya.

And all he asks is for me to smile.

Yun lang.

I grow silent and stare at him.

Still guilty, I give in.

He's trying his best to smile.

Dapat ako din.

Mula ngayon, siya nalang ang pagtutuunan ko ng pansin.

I sigh.

Myrah, anong ginawa mo para makakuha ng ganitong lalaki?

Feeling slightly better, I smile.

"Oh? Bat ang tahimik mo na naman?" V asks worriedly as he keeps his eyes to the road.

Hindi niya nakita ng ngiti ko so I kissed him lightly on the cheek.

"Thank you." I try and smile as wide as I can.

He glanced at me in shock but then laughed. "Anytime."

I lean against the seat and sigh, "V?"

"Yeah?"

Kinuha ko yung kamay niya and intertwined it with mine. "Sleep with me tonight."
