I watched as he trained with the boys and Clarice, pride filling my body. I could tell that he was going to be a good Alpha and a good match for me. I needed a strong mate, and by the way, he was keeping the five non-Wolves at bay, I knew that he would be.

Cameron looked over at me and smiled. His whole body relaxed because he saw that I was alive and well. "Jaz," he called, and the three other fighters ceased in their advance and looked at me.

"Cameron," I said, nodding in greeting to the others. "Missed me?" I raised an eyebrow while he ran over to me, his whole body covered in sweat.

Cameron nodded and pulled me into his arms, the need to be in them a far greater feeling than wanting him clean. He captured my lips with his, leaving me breathless and wanting more.

When he pulled away, both of us were breathing kind of heavily.

"That was a nice greeting," I said, and he shrugged and pecked my lips again.

"So, did you get it?" Carter asked, pulling us away from each other. He wiggled his eyebrows, and I scowled.

"I did," I replied, and the four of them walked over to me. I took the sword out of sheath that Adele had given me, the brown contrasting from the golden hilt.

"Nice," Carter said, grinning. "You do realize that he will be upset with you. Right?"

I rolled my eyes and scowled. I knew that he was talking about Samuel and how I had placed the sword together. "I don't give a damn," I said, and he and his buddy snickered. "He almost had me killed."

"And, he is going to be there for the other pieces," Cameron said, scowling. He wasn't fond of Samuel like me.

"He is basically a kid trapped in an adult's body," Carter said, shrugging his shoulder. "We'll make sure that he doesn't do anything stupid," he added, and I nodded.

"Are you going to collect the next piece?" Clarice asked, and I nodded in confirmation. She looked away and cleared her throat. "Be careful. I don't know what Bane had set up, but I can tell you that they are dangerous."

"I know," I replied. "I have already been warned." I scowled at Cameron when he nudged my shoulder and huffed. "Thanks for the warning, though," I grumbled, and Carter snickered.

Clarice offered me a small smile and shrugged. "They come in different forms, whatever Bane wants them to be," she added. "What did you face for this one?"

I placed the sword back in the sheat, the urge to leave strong. I didn't want to be all friendly with her when I had a job to do. I did want to ask her if she knew what was happening to my pack, but I was too prideful to ask. "Bat looking things," I replied.

Clarice pursed her lips. Worry filled her eyes as she looked me over, trying to see if there was anything wrong with me. "I think Bill called them Griamons," she said. "They can cause your veins to turn black and slowly kill you. Did you get bitten by one?"

I shook my head. "I dodged them before they could," I replied. "The next one is air. Do you know what I will be facing?"

Clarice shook her head and smiled sadly. "I wish I did," she said apologetically. "The only reason why I knew about that one was only because Bill wanted me to be at the meeting with him and Bane. That was the only one I had been to."

I arched an eyebrow, knowing that there was a reason as to why she didn't go to the next meeting.

"I almost blew my cover and tried to kill both of them," she said. Her eyes flashed a darker color, and I could see the revenge in them. She wanted to fight with me during the last battle. She wanted to kill her father, and I couldn't help but unfortunately admire her. She knew that she would be going against her father's wishes, but she didn't care.

I nodded my head, thinking that she would be a good ally. "I will get you close to him," I said, talking about her father. "If you want, you can kill him."

Clarice grinned, and for a moment, I was slightly more or less afraid of her. Revenge filled her eyes with a fire that was raging mad and ready to eat everything in its path. "Good."

"Did you have to put them together before I could take notes?" Samuel asked when we walked into the library. He fiddled with his glasses before putting them squarely on his face. "What happened? What was it like?"

"It was like a key fitting into a lock," I replied, darkly. I scowled and took my necklace off from around my neck. "I don't have time to tell you what it was like, Samuel. I had been unconscious for eight hours and need to get the other piece of the sword."

Samuel bit back a scoff and roll his eyes. He unrolled the map of the world but didn't say a word. He didn't need to because his face said it all.

"Look, if I had time, I would have found you, and we could have seen it together. However, I don't have time."

"And why do you not have time?" Malena asked, walking into the room followed by Monroe. "It's not like you have anything better to do."

"I think a pack that needs to be saved is up there," Carter said. He looked at the male that was always by his side. "Don't you agree, Chase?"

Chase nodded his head and cracked his knuckles. There was a smirk on his face, and I could tell that he would be someone dangerous if messed with in the wrong way. "Oh, I agree," he said. "And, I am sure that there will be some Wolves that need their asses kicked."

"But first," Adele said, coming into the room. She had some books in her hands, and I couldn't help but be curious as to what they were about. "We find the last part of the first sword."

I nodded my head and placed the pendant over the map. I watched as it glowed and started to lead my hand towards Ecuador. It circled around before stopping. "Got a-"

"Yes," Samuel said, interrupting me. He placed a map of Ecuador down, and the pendant to stop on Mount Chimborazo.

"Is this one on the mountain or in?" Carter asked.

I blinked back at the imagery it showed me. "On," I replied. "It is on the highest part of the mountain."

"Yay, more climbing," Malena groaned. "Can't it be in like a mall?"

I just gave her a look and shook my head. I was too tired to deal with her, and my patience was running thin. I really needed to get my pack together so that I could have a decent sleep.
