My focus resurfaced back to the present as I felt Sevaneo's lips nudge my bra aside and lock onto my nipple. I moaned deep in my throat wanting this but found myself shaking my head no. Steveno pulled back and looked at me. "What's wrong love?" He asked with worry thinking he did something wrong.

"You didn't do anything wrong". I assured him. "Everything you did was right. It's just my overactive mind." I knew I had to be honest with him.

"I'm really into you Staveno. I mean really into you. I'm scared. I'll be leaving soon and I don't want to get hurt. I want to be with you so bad but I don't know your true intentions".

Staveno sat up and taking my chin between his fingers, turned my face toward him. "My intentions are pure, real. I told you before that since the death of my fiance there has been no other. You captured me. This is more than a fling to me love".

I nodded my head slowly believing him then he spoke again. "Your right. When you decide the time is right I want it to be special as well. Now let's go. I have plans for the day".

We rode away from the city and down some country roads. The scenery was breathtaking and relaxing. We pulled over at a field filled with flowers. Grabbing a basket he had prepared with food he took my hand and led me down a long path. The path eventually opened up to a beautiful cove by the sea. A private cove. We were the only people in sight. Spreading a blanket down, we both plopped down and kicked our shoes off. As we ate I decided now was the time to ask questions.

"Tell me about your fiancee"? I asked.

He sighed pleasantly. "I'd known her since we were babes. Our parent's betrothed us to each other as kid's. The plan was to merge our families. We was great friend's and cared for each other but it wasn't love".

"Then why go through with the arrangement?" I asked confused.

He shrugged. "To honor our families. You see in our world family, alliances, strong bonds and our word means everything. Had one or both of us refused it would have meant a war between the families. We make sacrifices".

I took on that in and wondered. "So what about now? Is there another women you should marry?"

He grinned. "No there isn't. Of course I could find a woman in one of the families but I'm not interested".

"What exactly do you do?" I asked and his face took on a brooding look.

"Let's save that for another talk my love. I want to keep you innocent from my life, shelter you. Your so pure JJ. The last thing I want to do is corrupt you or have you look at me differently. If I told you exactly what I do I fear you'd run from me". He spoke low.

I nodded my head in understanding. Maybe it's best I don't know right yet. "So tell me about the girl's I stole the invitations from?"

He smirked. "To many I am believed to be dead, especially to them. They think they took me out duiring my wedding. I want to keep it that way for now. They work for my enimies. My father is responsible for killing most of their Empire out and gaining control over the vast of their wealth and client's ".

"Why would I be in harm's way being associated with you?"

His eye's grew dark at that question. "Because you are my weakness and they would know that. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you because of me".

I looked away into the distance as if seeking something out. He spoke reading my thoughts. "Yes. My men are guarding us right now. You can't see them but their there. Rest assured though, our conversation and whatever we do will be private. They will not watch".

It still gave me the chills knowing people were near yet I couldn't see them. Yanking me from my thoughts he pulled me up. "Now let's put this talk aside and enjoy the day".

Staveno led me to the water where we splashed around forgetting just for a time.
