"MOM" i yell and i run in the kitchen to hug her. considering she's my mom and i love with her i haven't seen her in a while. "why are you home from work so early"
"my day got cut short. how's the party girl" she laughs
"amazing. you know i'm going to the leafs game tonight"
"yes i do. now tell me about this mitch boy"
"how do you know about him" i ask her
"you don't think your brothers try everything to get to keep you away from him. now tell me everything about him" she says sipping her coffee
"you know he plays on the leafs. he grew up in markham, he's an only child and he's really cute and he's 20"
"that's a 3 year age difference" she says sounding concerned "and he's a professional athlete"
"oh no your going into over protective mother mode. you and dad are years apart and you need to relax we're not dating or anything" i laugh
"i know but i need to at least act like i don't want you to date him. for your brothers. but if you want to date him i'm not stopping you. but your dad is going to have to approve after he gets back from paris"
"stupid lucky father gets to go to paris. when does he get back"
"next week" she tells me
"ok i'm going to get ready for the leafs game. sydney should be here soon"
"alright. do you know where your brothers are" she asks
"i think chris is at work, daniel is probably at his friends or something and who knows where zach is"
"if there not home in 2 hours i'm not feeding them" she laughs
i get into the shower and wash my body and hair. once i'm finished i blow dry it and i straighten it. i put on some foundation, highlighter and fake eyelashes. after that i get dressed. i wear black jeans with a maple leafs shirt and a leafs blue beanie. i see it's around 5:30 and syd should be here in like 15 minutes so i dicide to go downstairs and watch some tv before she comes. but of course when i get downstairs daniel brought all his annoying friends home with him.
"where the hell are you going" he asks me
"leafs game"
"oh ya to make out with your boyfriend mitchy"
"we're not dating" i tell him
"your dating marner" his friends all ask me
"no i'm not" i say annoyed
"he's a lucky one if you are" one of his friends say
"daniel want to tell your friends to stop being weird"
"marco shut up and play" just as he says this the doorbell rings i walk over to the door and open it
"hey syd" i say to sydney
"hey are you ready" she asks
"ya let me just grab my phone"
"better run don't want to keep your boyfriend waiting" daniel says
"i hate you" i say
"hate you more. i'm coming next game" he yells before i leave
"sure you are" i yell back at him "bye mom"
"bye val. text me if your not coming home. have fun with mitch" she says laughing
"TOLD YOU THEY WERE DATING" daniel yells
"we're not dating" i say and close the door behind me
me and syd both walk to her car get in and she pulls out of my driveway
"omg your fam is so cute" she sequels
"no there annoying" i say
"your mom is so cute 'have fun with mitch' i can't" she laughs "and your brother is adorable"
"no he's not and the other 2 are worse"
"i want to meet them" she says
"trust me you don't" i say as we walk into the ACC
