Steve Rogers // Rough Times Pt.1

Start from the beginning

"We're not married!" Steve and I yelled at the same time. I rolled my eyes and let out a huff. I rushed over to my belongings and quickly grabbed them before pushing past Tony and made my way to my room. The moment I closed my bedroom door I threw my body onto my bed and threw a pillow over my face. I let out a loud scream and kicked my legs.

I heard a collection of knocks hit onto my head and let out a loud groan. I just wanted to be alone and undisturbed. I moved the pillow away from my face and threw it onto the empty side of my bed. I forcefully pulled myself out of bed and answered the door with a loud annoyed "what."

"I heard you from a mile away," Nat chuckled lightly. She leaned against the doorframe and looked at me. I rolled my eyes at her as nicely as possible and moved back enough to leave room for her to enter my room.

"Cool," I answered back cooly.

"I brought Wanda with me," she smiled softly as she walked past me. I watched as Wanda came in behind. I sent her a small smile and closed the door once she fully came into the room. They both went towards my bed and sat down. I followed after them and sat down next to Nat. I brought my legs up to my chest.

"Training again?" Wanda asked softly. I let out a sigh and nodded. I looked down at my toes and frowned.

"Is Steve really pushing you that hard?" Nat then asked. I nodded yet again.

"If I'm being honest... He's making me want to quit this team. It's just... He's always commenting on everything I do. There's never a compliment. It's always about how I do something wrong and how imperfect I am. Sometimes a pat on the back and a 'good job, y/n' would help..." I whispered as I felt myself start to tear up.

"He's just trying to work you so you don't get killed," Nat explained as she wrapped her arm around me and pulled my close.

"And, it's because you also just got here. Steve wants to see if you have any more hidden strength buried underneath." Wanda added in. I rolled my eyes softly and let out a sigh.

"No one can beat him in a spar. Hell, Thor can't even beat him. They just come to an understanding and agreeing to Tie." I explained softly. After I finished speaking a knock came onto my door. I stood up from my bed and quickly wiped my eyes. Once I opened the door a particularly tall guy with long hair and ocean blue eyes came into view.

"What do you want?" I asked quite rudely as I looked up at him.

"There's a mission briefing in the conference room. Fury wants us all there now." Steve answered. I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head.

"Why didn't he just get Jarvis to announce it. Did you just want to come and personally tell me?" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"I uh- I'm just doing my order," Steve responded after not really knowing how to.

"Yeah, whatever." I closed the door and looked over at Natasha and Wanda. Nat shared an evil smirk at Wanda, who in turn returned one as well.

"You so have the hots for him," Nat said while turning her head towards me. I rolled my eyes and sent death daggers her hair.

"You soooo have the hots for him." Nat chuckled. I threw a glare at him.

"Y/n, we all know you like Steve. You just won't admit it because you don't want it to be true." Wana said as she stood up.

"No, I don't," I hissed at her and folded my arms against my chest.

"I mind-read, idiot. I know everything you think. Including everything you think while you're around Steve." Wanda explained as she walked over towards me.
