━━ in which a girl with special abilities is sent up into the maze where she is swept into the life of boys, grievers, beetle blades and running for your life. but maybe, just maybe, she can save her friends and the sandy blonde she loves so dearly...
"W-Who are you?" Victoria questioned, attempting to take a step towards her. She didn't budge, nor did she respond. "Did you just call my name?"
"Yes." She answered, and the brunette immediately recognised the voice. Nodding, Victoria picked at her cuticles for a second before continuing to approach the other girl. She looked at her as if she knew Victoria already, perhaps she did. Victoria couldn't remember.
"What are you doing here?" Was her next question. The girl's features twisted with hesitance, unsure of what to say. Like if she said the wrong thing, something would happen.
"I. . . I had to see you." She answered, much to Victoria's confusion. She didn't recognise her, they hadn't met as far as she could remember. The girl stared back at the brunette, inspecting her mucky clothes, skin slick with sweat and windswept hair. She knew she wouldn't remember her, because she was in the maze. The reminder broke the mystery girl's heart.
"Where did you come from?" Victoria prodded another question, and that one in particular caused the girl much discomfort as she rubbed the back of her neck skeptically.
"I— I can't tell you that, I'm sorry."
"Do you know who put us in here, me and my friends?"
"I can't answer that—"
"Well what can you answer?" Victoria snapped pressing her fingers against her temples, feeling a throbbing sensation in her head. Opening her eyes again, the unknown girl had vanished. Literally. Grunting, she kicked her foot into the nearby wall and ran a hand through her matted hair.
Turning around, Victoria stopped in her tracks. Her eyes widened with terror and the blood running through her veins turned ice cold. Because in front of her, stood a Griever. It was slimy and hairy, and mechanical legs protruded from it's body, as well as a long tail at the back. Opening it's mouth to reveal many razor sharp teeth, a deafening shriek came from the creature.

Spinning back, Victoria started running in the opposite direction, her feet slamming against the pavement. She could hear it chasing her, which panicked her even more. Skidding around the corners, she felt like her heart would leap out of her chest at any moment.
The same movement continued long enough for every part of her body to burn and ache. Feeling something catch her ankle, Victoria tumbled forward harshly onto her knees. Her foot had gotten caught in some goddamn ivy. Ripping herself free, she was too slow.
The Griever towered over her, roaring once again. She could feel the slime dripping onto her clothes, and the creature's hot breath against her skin. Yet it gave her goosebumps. Gritting her teeth together, she gathered her breath. "Get. Away!" She screamed and much to her surprise, the creature flew off her and into the wall behind it.
