Still wrapped up in her towel, Emma brushed her teeth thoroughly to make sure that her breath wouldn't smell bad. She painted her nails with a fresh coat of cream colored nail polish.

Emma went to her closet but struggled to find something to wear. If she wore this would he think she was a slut? If she wore that would he think she was a slob? She finally decided on a long-sleeved maroon shirt tucked into a short black skirt, some black nylons, and her comfortable black converse.

She sprayed herself with some sweet-scented peach fragrance and when she finally finished getting ready it was 5:30. She then decided to wait around for Daniel to show up by entertaining herself with her phone and shortly after getting lost in her phone Emma's Aunt Annie walked into the living room and asked with a smile,

"Where do you think you're going all spruced up?" Emma looked up from her phone and chuckled apprehensively, fearing that her Auntie wouldn't grant her permission to go on her highly anticipated date with Daniel.

"On a date?" Emma half asked, half stated. She had a nervous smile on her face.

"Oooooh," Annie nudged Emma as she sat down on the brown, leather couch and tucked her feet beside her thigh. "Somebody has a boyfriend??" her voice perked up. "Scandalous. I want all the details," she teased. Emma giggled.

"I met him on Tuesday. He's super nice to me and so friendly. All my friends tease me about him. And he's really cute," Emma said with a smile.

"Continue," her Auntie said as she looked at Emma with an intrigued look on her face. She sighed.

"I get so nervous whenever I'm around him, I feel like my heart is going to explode out of my chest. Whenever I see him I get butterflies in my stomach and I feel like my heart skips a beat. Whenever he talks to me I get so lost in his baby blue eyes, his eyes are so pretty! Whenever he talks to me he makes me feel like I'm the only girl in the world and whenever we're together it's like nothing else even matters," Emma said, smiling at what she was saying.

Being in a relationship with Daniel made her feel so cheesy and like such a sap, but it also made her unable to think properly because he was all that was on her mind, it made her feel warm and bubbly inside. It made her happy.

"Sounds someone's falling in love," Annie said with a sing-songy voice. "Emma's going to a new school and she already has all of the guys lined up to date her?" Annie joked.

"Oh, please," Emma scoffed as she rolled her eyes. "You know, I don't even know what he sees in me. I practically said five words to him which consisted of 'I don't want to date.' I basically tried to ignore him existing."

"Yet here you are waiting for him to pick you up. Which means..." Annie smirked at Emma. "That he didn't stop until you agreed to go on a date with him. Which means.... he put in the effort. And I'm pretty sure that's a sign that he cares about you. You should have him over sometime. He sounds like someone I want to meet. Oh, you could have him over for dinner and I could introduce someone I have been seeing for a little bit to you and Daniel, like a double date!" Annie nudged.

"Um, okay," Emma said, as she was blushing.

"So, you have a new boyfriend, did you make any new friends?"

"Just a few," Emma replied timidly. She hadn't really gotten along with some of the people in her school. Memories flourished from Wednesday night and that horrible punch incident.

"So school's going great for you, that's good!" Annie said excitedly. "I knew you would just fit right in." Emma faked a smile.

She had to admit, things were going smoother than she thought, but not everything was perfect. She was worried about Brittney and the trouble that she might cause. She was worried that she would push Daniel away, or do something stupid to mess up what they had just started.
