In the end, Candace took a bath on the next room, which has a door.

But she said that she'll sleep in my room. So, I let her take a bath on the next room.

And I took a bath here, in my room. Without a door.

I have no idea why I don't have a door.

And then after a few minutes or so, Candace and I are talking on my bed.

" So, you owe me your backstory. " she said

" I know. "

" So, please do tell. It'll be like a history class. But, I'd be hearing it first hand. "

" You make me sound so old. "

" Well, no old man can look good like you. "

" Well, I am very good looking. "

She smiled.

" Just get on with the story. "

" Well, when do I start? "

" I don't know. It's your story. "

" Fine. I shall start with Katherine Pierce. And will you please lie down next to me?"

" What? Is she like your 19th century romance? "

" We died, with vampire blood in our system. "

" Oh, crap. "

" But Stefan fed on our father to complete his transition. "

She sat up again.

" Excuse me? "

" Didn't I tell you that before? "

" About the transition thing? Uh-uh. "

" Will you just lie down next to me? "

" Why? "

" Because I want to feel close to you when I'm telling you my story. "

She lay down, her head resting on my stomach.

" Continue. " she said

" Okay, when you die with vampire blood in your system, you don't become a vampire yet, you have to complete the transition. But it is your decision. If you don't have at least a drop of human blood within the first 24 hours, since you woke up from dying, you die. "

" Oh. "

" Yeah. "

" So, Stefan fed on your father? "

" Yes. "

" That's, uh, I can't say it. "

" Oh, just say it. They're not here anyway. They are not in this house, or in this property. "
