Chapter 2

I examined the whole room and I saw some students covering the windows with a bunch of papers and woods. The room was a mess and I can see drops of blood on the floor and on the walls. I saw a girl sobbing right next to the corner covering her face with her hands. Her bracelet makes me think of someone I know, so I just stared at her and I realized it was her.

"Lauren?" I said with a soft and shaky voice. The girl looked straight at me and I was right, it is Lauren.

"Lei!" She stood up and quickly walked towards me. She hugged me tightly and even cried more, "I thought I could never see you again," I hugged her back and tears started to fall off my eyes. We were friends since we were little so she is like a family to me. I will not forgive myself if I will also lose her.

"Thank god you're okay," I said as I stopped hugging her still holding her hands. We decided to transfer to where she was sitting earlier so we can talk and sit comfortably. A guy stood in front of us so our little pep-talk was interrupted.

"Here have a drink," a guy handed me a bottle of water so I took it with my shaky hands saying "thank you". Wait, his watch looks familiar, I looked at his face and it almost made my jaw drop, it was Aaron. My ex-boyfriend that dad talked with earlier. He walked away with a serious face and I was just left there hanging. It was him? The one who saved me back there?

"Hey what's with the face?" Lauren asked. I looked at her and her face looks so red and her eyes are still watery.

"N-Nothing," I smiled at her and opened the bottle of water. I drank all of it with just one sip making Lauren giggle. We both laughed even though we are stuck in this crazy situation. The room was so quiet and I know everyone is scared.

I glanced to my right and there I saw Aaron sitting on the floor while leaning on the wall. A girl is sleeping on his lap as he gently brushes the girl's shoulders with his hands makes me remember a memory of my past. He looked in my direction so I quickly looked away.

"Oh, so let me guess, you are still confused about why your ex saved your ass back there and jealous at the same time because of his new girlfriend," Lauren said with full of emphasis word by word that made me glare at her.

"First off, I'm not jealous, I just remembered something," I explained but she just looked at me with a weird expression on her face that looks like she doesn't believe me, "And yes, I am a bit confused why he saved me back there," I added.

"Of course he would save you, I mean if you're a fine-looking dude and you see a helpless little girl you would save her right?" Lauren said with full of actions that made me chuckle. But yeah I can't argue with that so I just shrugged.

A guy is walking towards us so I looked at his face and it was Troy. He's not wearing his uniform and there is a small stain of blood on his white shirt. He sat in front of us and looked straight into my eyes. For god's sake Troy! Why are you torturing me with your addictive eyes?

"Are you okay?" He asked. The looks on his face right now were just like earlier, when he was trying to find a pulse on the little girl. Serious but so caring.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine," I smiled, looked away and faced Lauren. She's smiling at me like an idiot and moving her eyebrows up and down. I just rolled my eyes and slightly slapped her hands.

"Do you know what's happening?" I asked Troy to get away with this awkward situation.

"I uh... unfortunately, no, I have completely no idea about what is going on," ugh me neither, I stared at him and I think he wants to say something, "But Uh, I saw how my friend became one of them," my eyebrows furrowed after he said those things. What did he just say just now?
