I am a circus freak; Caught in a cage, Caught in a cage

He glared at the walls of his prison with a burning hatred. Where he had been for so long; so long, that the real world seemed like just a bittersweet fantasy.

Staring without a blink; Swallow me whole, Swallow me whole

He knew the others were scared of him. He never seemed to blink; always looking at everything with the same gaze of disgust. Of loathing. Everyone else was envious of his seemingly-blank-slate-look; something that was carved into him from a young age.

His human limitations were tested. Though, was it even possible to call him human after every test? After every prod and poke they did to him?

Loveless and watch me bleed; Tear me apart, Tear me apart

They had almost no emotion for the teen.

Yeah!

They were sadistic.

I've lost myself in make-believe

It was how he stayed sane. In his own world, where he was the star, where he was the hero. Where not everyone loved him, but everyone treated him like he was human.

He was always forced away from his fictional reality. It was, unfortunately, impossible to be completely lost.

That didn't mean he didn't fight them.

Over and over I've decieved

Time and time again, they think they've broken him. Time and time's have past where he's proved them wrong.

Why did they make him leave? It's where he can be happy.

You want the form? I can't conform

They tried everything, but it seemed nothing was able to make him obey. He was resilient, he was independent. He was free.

Cause I can't take anymore of your tainted bliss 'cause

They tried to tell him it was for a good cause. That they were the ones to trust. He wasn't stupid enough to fall for any of their tricks; no matter how many times they played their ace.

I've lost myself in make-believe

A world where he was accepted. Where he wasn't the deformity, the experimented.

He was strong; both mentally and physically.
