Reyna POV

I lean on the railing of the Garden of Bacchus, a cup of hot chocolate in my hand. I close my eyes, relishing the peace of the moment in the divine garden.

Of course that had to be ruined.

Frank Zhang - my fellow praetor - rushed into the garden panting.

" Reyna-" he gasped, doubling over to catch his breath, " monster attacks on the tunnel. Loads. Dakota helping them manage- NOW!"

I furrow mt eyebrows to interpret his message, before my eyebrows shoots up so high it probably disappeared underneath my hair.

" Monsters?" I ask, doubting my words. Frank nods before rushing off. Reflectively, I tap the wristwatch on my wrist, making a full-body armor magically appear. I whistle sharply and turn towards the flap of wings. Flying towards me is my new Pegasus, Leporem, a beautiful white stallion. Jumping on top of her, we fly towards the Tiber river.

" Di immortales."  I curse, when I see the amount of monsters. A whole army of monsters is at the Tiber, surging towards the armed demigods in formation. I feel a surge of pride when I see the demigods.

Frank wasn't doing too bad either. Turning into an roaring dragon, he blew fire towards the monsters, disintegrating them in a puff of golden smoke.

I thought the war was over! I think, biting my lip.

" Reyna! " Dakota calls, noticing me. " A little help?" I shake my head. Fight first, think later. With a nudge, Leporem and I charge into battle.

The monsters were large in quantity, but not in quality. We won the battle relatively unharmed, with no casualties. Which is disturbing. I think to myself as I walk through the battle grounds, picking up spoils of war. My fingers brush against metal as I bend down to pick a shimmering box. Curious, I open it to find a thin metal card with a message engraved, propped on a red velvet cushion.

My greetings, Praetor.

                                   - The Giant D

I only have time to make out those words before a fuzzy feeling comes over me. Panicking, I drop the box a second too late. The last thing I think is drugged, before I crash onto the ground.

Annabeth POV

" Annabeth? Percy?"

I look suspiciously at the bushy brown-haired girl in front of me, wondering if I know her. Before I can walk out of the compartment, the girl pulls me and Percy in, grinning like a lunatic.

" If you want to kill me, you have to wait in line. There are hundreds of people waiting for me." Percy says stupidly, and I roll my eyes along with the bushy-haired girl in front of me, while the platinum-blond haired boy just snorts.

The girl locks the door behind me, pulling the curtains down, before turning to us and running her hand through her hair. Suddenly I feel a slight breeze, recognizing it as the shift of the Mist. When I look at the girl again, I, along with Percy, recoil in shock.

" Hermia Greystone!" I scream, enraged.

" You leave without a word, you stupid sister, and you appear with no warning! We thought you as good as dead! "

" Well, I guess this isn't a good time then." A familiar voice says, and I turn to the boy. My jaws dropped.

" Drake!" Percy laughs, reaching to embrace him, only to punch him hard on the face. I grin. That's my Seaweed Brain.
