Poetry Camp (February)
Fox-Trot-9Day 1: Acrostic Sonnet
I'm doomed to be misled, by utter blindness,
Astray into the fatal traps of love's
Misfortunes; doomed am I by acts of kindness
To drink the drink that life and hope removes.
He shall betrothéd be unto my mistress,
Yet I shall be betrothed unto this heartache;
Let heaven's burning eye to be my witness:
O'er mine own head shall hope be cast for his sake.
Venus, I pray thee to protect them both;
Endow on them sweet love's prosperities,
While I am doomed to live this aching oath
In all of love's depriving poverties.
Let love between them grow, their fortunes bless;
Let me forget it, that my pains be less.I AM THY LOVE,
(Signed) WILL(To be continued . . .)
A/N: Okay, sorry for the delay. School's a HUGE time-suck, but here's what I came up with for the first day!
