I was always the 'special kid'. I never really knew why though , but that was 72 years ago . In this story I'll tell you why.
72 years ago when I was still in school, but school was out for Christmas and my parents decided to go to a 'fishing amusement park'. There were a lot of gift shops there ,but one that caught my eye was called 'paranormal peculiarities' .My dad said that it was probably a fake store , but I didn't believe him ,after all the world is full of possibilities .I opened the door expecting to just find ghost hunting kit and statues of mythical creatures , but it was nothing like that.
I stood there as I watched a bunch plush toys move around the small store. Most of the plush toys were animal hybrids , monsters or just normal animals. I decided to buy one.
'They could be remote controlled'
I thought as I kept walking . I stopped in front of a small baby lion with goat horns, a gion?.It looked at me and roared a goat noise.
I smiled and picked it up and walked towards the counter . An old man behind the counter looks up from his book and smiles at me"Ah, a goin, nice choice"
'So that's what it's called , I was right '
I asked for the price as I reached for my purse.I my small purse and payed the for thr living doll ,as I reached for the doll I noticed he kept staring at me and didn't say anything as he smiled, most people did this a lot because of the peculiar paleness of my skin, assuming that was the reason for the stare rolled my eyes and picked up the plush toy and left.
"It's 12:00pm already?" I sighed as I took out my parasol I nearly jumped out of my skin as the plush jumped out of my arms and onto the floor .
"Hey!Don't scare me like that!" I yelled as the scared plushie looked at the ground in shame."Look I'm sorry it's just -" the shriek of my mother interrupted me.I quickly picked up my plush and ran in the direction I heard the scream.I kept running until I heard a frustrated growl."ARE YOU SURE YOU SENSED ONE!?"
I hid behind the wall of another gift shop and listened "Ofcourse I did silly!"A girly voice said, as the other voice, a male, sighed"I've looked three time around this GOD FORSAKEN PARK AMD YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU REALLY ARE SENSING ANOTHER ONE?!""Well, you obviously are very bad at looking." I decided to be daring and took a peek at the shore to a take a look at the strangers ,sadly luck wasn't on my side today so I got caught.....
"And just what do you think you're doing?"
He asked harshly and he griped the shoulder."I-I was just pa-passing by-"BULLSHIT"He shouted, it wasn't loud enough to get anyone's attention since no one was around. "I-" I was cut short by a man speaking through the speakers
Ladies and gentlemen, we are experiencing technical difficulties in the park, and we do not wish for any of our lovely guests to receive any injuries. So please proceed to walk towards the exit like civilized people and don't run."
"Shit"he muttered as he let go of me and ran , I took the opportunity to take off running to look for my parents.

After what felt like hours I found my mother talking to a staff member ,and just as I was about to tap her shoulder I was grabbed by the shoulder, again, by that boy, again. I could feel his breath in my ear as he whispered "And just where do you think you're going?"
I couldn't answer, I was paralyzed with fear. Just as we started backing away from my mother salvation came."HEY!" My shoulder was suddenly released, which made me lose the balance because of the sudden lose of weight . "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING WITH MY DAUGHTER!?" I looked up and my father was there screaming at the mean stranger. My father's loud screams were loud enough to catch my mother's attention. She gasped as she saw me on the floor, I quickly grabbed my parasol and my plushie ,who was hiding under my dress to avoid more attention was careful to stay hidden as I stood up. My mother quickly gave me a bear hug that almost made me lose my balance agian.
"VALERY! THERE YOU ARE! I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU!"She screamed as dried her tears."Come let's go home."
"You two wait in the car, I'll catch up with you later" I father said through his teeth as he glared at the guy who hurt me.
