Someone she got out of Jonathan's grip and slowly stalked towards me.

I wasn't aware I was back I mg away from her until I was outside.

Jonathan's POV

I was about to run towards Josie until a hand on my shoulder stopped me.

I turned and looked at Rosie's grandma.

"Why are you stopping me!?" I growled.

"She can handle herself against Josie." She said.

"She's human! She won't last against a werewolf!"

"Let. Her. Fight."

As much as I didn't want to something was telling me to stay put.

Something was telling me that Rosie would survive.

I stayed next to Rosie's grandma watching Josie and Rosie.

Rosie's POV

Josie was circling me and growling.

There were a million thoughts running through my head.

But the main thing was, how the hell am I supposed to stay alive!?

I looked down at my trembling hands.

My eyes widened as I realized I was feeling an emotion I haven't felt in such a long time.

Fear.

She growled and began running towards me.

I barely dodged her at the last second.

She face planted into some mud.

It took all of me not to laugh.

Josie got up and shook her fur, but the mud still covered her fur.

She ran towards me again but this time she leaped.

She tackled me to the ground and began snapping her teeth at my neck.

"Get off of me!" I yelled.

She stopped snapping at me and growled in my face.

Foam started to drip out of her mouth and into my face.

"I knew it. You don't have the guts to finish me off." I said a little more calmly.

She growled angrily.

She opened her mouth wide over my face.

I closed my eyes out of fear.

It was clear that she was about to close her jaws and bite my face off.

I let out an ear-piercing scream.

My eyes opened and my hands went into an 'X' shape over my face.

There was a loud explosion and a large burst of light.

Coming from me.

All of sudden Josie was over 20 feet away from me back in her human form, completely naked.

She got up with a struggle.

"See! I knew it!" She shrieked. "I knew she would use that stone on me!"

"On the contrary Josie." My grandma interfered. "How could Rosie use her stone on you if she didn't have it on?"

My grandma pulled the stone out of her pocket with a smirk.

Josie looked both shocked and frightened at the sight of me.

Jonathan threw a blanket at Josie and glared. "Go clean yourself up, Josie! We'll talk about this later!"

Josie didn't look like she wanted to argue. She scurried back into the house.

I looked down at my trembling hands again.

How did I do that?

Jonathan came up to me with an unreadable expression on his face.

"What are you?" He asked like he was afraid of the answer.

"I-I don't know." I said.

"What are you?" I redirected the question back to him.

"Rosie." My grandma spoke up.

"Yes, grandma."

She pulled out a book. It was a dark red leather book and it was clearly very old.

I've seen that book I'm her house on a self but she never let me touch it.

I took the book from her hands. "What is this for?"

"It will explain everything. But don't read it until the time is right." She said.

"How will I know when to read it?" I ask.

"Trust me you'll know. I have to go."

"What!? Grandma please, I need you here."

"And I will be back soon. I have to go back to my house for some stuff."

"Will you be back?"

"Yes, of course. David will be here soon to talk me back. But I promise I will be back."

"Ok." I hugged her. "Grandma, what am I? How did I do that!?"

She hugged me back. "The book will explain everything."

We hear a honk from the front of the house.

"I have to go." My grandma said.

"Be back soon ok."

"I will." She went back inside, leaving me and Jonathan outside.

"What are you?" He asked again.

"I don't know. But something tells me I should be asking you that."
