You thought you knew what love was but darling you were mistaken.

To describe the meaning of love you would be drowned in your own enchantment.

Dark magic so powerful you didn't know lived within you,

The sorcery you used to enchant innocent girls who loved you.

But the same force no longer resides within you,

That is because a girl finally touched the real you,

Her fingers stained darker than black- the color of your soul,

You stole love from others and shoved it in a hole.

Caught in her magic that once used to be yours,

Selfish and greed these two sins are now yours,

Fear and regret these two feelings are also yours,

But her melody sings to you a different song,

Honey, you need not return what is not yours,

Because this time she's stealing all that is yours,

Piece by piece,

The same way you broke their hearts,

Piece by piece.

Is how she would break your heart.

Inspiration/Explanation:

The story behind this poem is about a narcissist who finds joy in manipulating girls' feelings for his own, sadistic entertainment. He thought he had it all, the girls, the fame, the attention etc. When one day, karma hits him like a bus. He found himself attracted to a girl, not only physically, but also emotionally. He knew what is coming, or so he thought, until he experienced it for himself, how heartbreak truly felt like. He never dared to play with another girls heart ever again.

(This poem is not written from any of my past experiences, meaning its not directed at anyone.)

Author's Note:

Have you ever met someone like this before? Did he or she learned her lesson?
