Courting Jungkook

Chapter 9

CHAPTER NINE

Jungkook was welcomed by the sound of laughter coming from the living room. He was sure his Dad is on a business trip. Then whom is his Mom talking to?

As he walks down the stairs, he slowly peaked of who it was. It's none other than Chaeyoung Park. He's not even shocked. He should have known. This girl already welcomed herself in the family.

She's smiling widely and laughing heartily at what they are talking about. She was on an off shoulder white top tucked in a black pants and was wearing a pair of white sneakers.

His head automatically goes goes down to his shoes after checking her out. He was also wearing a pair of white sneakers. A white tee tucked in ripped black pants. He suddenly wanted to go back to his room and change to something else. But before he can do so, his mom already called him.

"Jungkook dear, come on now. Someone's waiting for you."

He just rolled his eyes and decided to just shake it off.

"Wow!" Chaeyoung was so amazed on how they matched outfit today. She didn't do anything. It's just fate.

She ran beside him and cling into his arm. "So Mom, do we look like a real couple now?" she asked giggling.

"Definitely, dear!" his Mom answered and he just rolled his eyes again. "Looking good together."

Jungkook look down to Chaeyoung beside him. "What are you doing here?"

"What else, Kook? So that we can go to school together, friend." she said with a grin.

He ran a finger through his hair. "I shouldn't have agreed to this!"

"But that was a deal and you lose. And I know you have a word. Right, Kookie?"

Mrs. Jeon suddenly claps her hand two times. "Guys you should go now. You'll be late for school! Safe driving Kookie!"

She push the two outside the house. She stand there at their door frame looking at the two approach the car with a smile on her face. Her son deserves to be happy again.

"So ungentlemanly." Chaeyoung mumbled for Jungkook who didn't even bother to open the car door for her. "But if you think it's a turn off for me, na-ah! It's not." then she give him a wink once they both have entered the car.

Jungkook was just queitly driving while Chaeyoung is humming random songs when she think suddenly of something.

"Kook, can I ask you something?" she asks biting her lower lip to prevent her smiles.

Jungkook cocked a brow which she took a signal to continue. "Do you believe in miracles?"

"No." his answer was fast.

"Eh! Can you at least ask why do I asked?"

"No."

"Hey!"

"Why would I? You would tell me anyways."

"You're right." she said pouting. "But it's a pick up line! Come on, ask me why?"

Jungkook teased Chaeyoung by showing her that he's zipping his mouth.

"Jungkook!"

Jungkook laugh at her reaction then ask eventually. "Okay, why?"

"Can you believe I'm still alive? Even if I already gave my heart to you?"

Jungkook remained poker face and keep his focus on the road. Chaeyoung then hold on her chin with her thumb and index finger while thinking.

"Wait!" Chaeyoung suddenly says with a panicky voice that made Jungkook to look at her confused.

"What?" Jungkook asks her with knitted forehead. Chaeyoung look around outside the car observing the place.

"Are we going to the right place? I think were lost."

"We're not, okay. I know where I'm going."

"But we should be going to the Uni right now."

"We are."

"Then why do I feel like I'm in a museum? Cause look," Chaeyoung place her fingers as if taking a picture of Jungkook. "There's a work of art right here."

Chaeyoung noticed the slight curve that form on Jungkook's lips. "Omo! You smiled!"

Jungkook who was caught with his slight grin blushed a little with embarassment. "I did not."

"You're blushing!" Chaeyoung blurted out amazed by his reaction.

"I'm not!" Jungkook defend himself as he become redder.

"Stop denying Kookie. I know you like it."

Chaeyoung just keeps on teasing him until they reach the University.

"Jungkook do you have an inhaler?"

"Cause I just take your breath away?"

"Hey! Let me finish it. Jusk ask why!" Chaeyong whined with her puffed cheeks.

"You must be the reason for global warming." Chaeyoung asks again.

"Cause I'm hot?" Jungkook grin at her as he finished her pick up line again.

"Kookie!" Chaeyoung stomped her feet like a kid. "Let me finish it!"

"Do you have a map?"

"Cause you keep getting lost in my eyes?"

"Fine. Fine. Be thankful I love you. Ugh!"

"You should do a better research Ms. Park. Those are old."

"Should I, Kookie? Do you like it when I do pick-up lines?" Chaeyoung decided to tease him again. "You like it, don't you?"

Jungkook didn't respond to her and walk faster leaving her trailing behind.

"Even if there's no gravity on earth," Chaeyoung started again. "I'd st--"

"You'll still fall for me?"

Chaeyoung who walks double time is now infront of Jungkook looking straight into his eyes as they both stop. "Yes Mr. Jeon. Always."

Jungkook avoided her gaze and fake a cough. He walked past her again.

"You blushed! Now it's for real! Oh my gosh! you really like it, huh?"

Chaeyoung felt so happy with this little effect she have on him now. She was smiling like crazy when she suddenly remembers what her Mom told her this morning.

"You know I love you sweety, right? Don't expect too much. Don't invest too much feelings. I don't want my baby getting hurt."

She heaved a sigh. A weak smile form on her face as she remembers her Mom's worried face. But it's already too late. She already invested all her feelings for him.

"Kookie wait!" she called him who is now far away from her. She ran fast to catch up with him.
