"I can't believe she's really dead, I never got to tell her how I really felt or how sorry I was." Jackie rubbed her son's back and continued to let him cry on her shoulder. She knew he was hurting real bad.

Despite what happened over the past few years, true and legend were the best of friends.

You would never see one without the other. It was heartbreaking to see how their friendship ended. Legend dying they way she did was something they couldn't fathom! She didn't deserve that. She would never get to have her happy ending, she always wanted to be married and have a lot of kids. Just the thought of hearing how someone beat her to death, caused true to cry more.

They had been in California for a week, the first couple of days True was in denial. Then he rode by the community center and seen one of the kids painted a mural of legend on the side of the building.

She was really gone.

He dried the last of his tears and went into the bathroom to get himself together. She didn't have a burial, he heard from some of the kids that she was cremated. Far as he knew she was out here alone. after wiping his face, he returned to the living room. Jason and jasmine were back to normal, the move did them some good. "Daddy are you okay?"

He smiled "yeah I'm okay now."

"Aunty legend is an angel now, right daddy?"

"Yeah, she's an angel now jasmine."

The little girl went back to playing with her brother. True was still waiting for gino to contact him on the damien situation. He had 20 missed calls from JR, he made a mental note to change his number.

He wondered if they knew Legend was dead, if they didn't he wouldn't be the one to tell them. He honestly didn't think they'll even care. His mother was watching the young and the restless. "I'm about to go to the community center and see if I can find out about legend's ashes."

"Okay, you be careful true."

He kissed her head and headed toward the door, both kids hopped up "we wanna go to!" They shouted. Since coming to the new state they had been cooped up in the house, since it was now the summer time school was out. They really wanted to see the mural of their aunt legend as well.

He hesitated at first not sure if he really wanted them to go, but he agreed.

He waited till they put their shoes on before heading out.

The drive to the community center took an hour, on the way there  they admired their new surroundings. Everything was different here, it's was more fast paced than North Carolina. The kids were excited riding past the kids skate boarding and doing tricks. "Whoa Jason did you see that, he just did a front flip on a skateboard!"

Jason nodded excitedly "yeah I saw him, that was so cool!"

The rest of the ride was filled with the excitement of the kids and true being silent. Once they reached the community center they were amazed at all the people standing outside, it looked like they were having a memorial service. People were holding candles and balloons, their was food and somebody grilling.

True and the kids stepped out of the car, they got a few stares, new people always got noticed around here.

"I'm sorry, the center is closed until 4 for the memorial service." The girl in front of him looked to be Latino, their was a man standing behind her mugging him.

"That's fine, just wanted to see how the place turned out. Legend always talked about opening a community center."

With that he turned to walk away, he would stay for the memorial service though.
