"Thank you so much Mr. Anderson, in here looks so good. I can't wait to open!"

I was currently viewing my center, everything was perfect. The only thing I was waiting on were the mats the babies would sleep on. I didn't want the traditional mat that most places used, I wanted something soft and thicker.

My phone vibrated letting me know I had a text. It could wait.

The center would open in 3 days, my promoter was doing a good job of advertising the event. I had people from all over giving me props. After one more walk through I decided to head over to stacy's house. Today was sunday and I knew her mother cooked, I typed her address into my gps. 35 minutes away.

I remembered I received a text and picked my phone up. This ain't over bitch! Everything froze. Who is this? I replied back, someone had to be playing a prank on me. I wasn't trying to go back down this rode. The person never texted back, I got the urge to smoke.

I raced to stacy's house.

No one knew about my old life, and I intended to keep it that way! Whoever this is better find something safe to do! I thought. The yard was filled with cars, typical. Every sunday their house was the hangout spot. Their family was apart of a gang, and even though most of the people here looked like they could kill with their bare hands they were all cool.

Walking into the house I spoke to everyone and made my way into the kitchen. "Wassup family, where's my plate?" Stacy laughed, passing me a plate and a plastic fork. "That's all you worried about, how's the center going?"

"Great, I'm so ready to open girl!"

"Everybody been talking bout it, I'm so proud of you. A center was exactly what we needed to help these kids."

Maria, their mother, nodded her head in agreement. "Yes Mami, these kids need something positive in their life. Not all this gang shit!" I laughed at her pettiness. Even though they were in a gang I didn't judge. Everyone was entitled to live their life how they wanted to.

My plate was filled with smothered turkey wings, dirty rice, sweet peas, and cornbread. My mouth watered at the sight.

"Ma, we bout to head out. The food was great, you know we appreciate you."

I rolled my eyes at the sound of his voice, I was still mad at the way he talked to me at the club.

He smirked at me, I stabbed my turkey wings imaging it was him. Keep playing with me! "Stacy your friend is loco!" He laughed, while walking out the house with the rest of the men.

"I don't know why you let him get to you, he's just playing. Lighten up legend!"

I continued eating my food, ignoring her. Her brother pushed buttons I didn't know I had.

"There love is blossoming, soon their going to be married with little ninos running around. no puedo esperar!" Maria was out of her damn mind! I choked on my food, Stacy patted my back and passed me a glass of water.

"No offense, but he's NOT my type. There won't be any little ninos coming from me .. okay!"

They both smirked like they knew something I didn't.
