It's been about a week since Christa had re-agreed to allow Ymir to meet Lily. Not that Christa really wanted her to. It was just one of those things she had agreed to, to make Ymir stop. And every single day Ymir had texted her to ask about Lily.

It was just little things like, what her favorite food place was so Ymir knew where to take her. And she would ask other questions like if she needed anything and how she was. It was a new situation for Christa, to have Ymir in her daughters life. She was supposed to go with Ymir and Lily out to the zoo this weekend that's coming up and then to dinner. This way she'd figured it'd be the easiest way she could get to know her daughter. And hearing Christa tell her 'Fine' was the happiest words she's ever heard. She could potentially actually get to talk to her daughter, and get to know her! She was so excited. That was all she wanted since she's found out about her daughter.

Ymir fell back onto her couch in her apartment. She has huge smile on her face, just thinking about it. Oh, what kind of things does her daughter like? Should she buy her something? No. She should keep it basic at first; slowly introduce herself and immerse into her own daughters life. Like Christa told her, she was going to be introduced as a 'friend' not a 'parent'. Sighing Ymir went to her phone, looking through all the pictures Christa had previously sent her of Lily. She was enthralled to meet her.

Christa sat before Sasha and Connie while Lily went and played in the other room. "I... I'm still unsure if I should allow it, you know?" She glanced to Sasha for reassurance. "I don't know if I should introduce Lily to Ymir, I don't want her to get hurt." Christa thought back to the past, wincing at the memory of how she was kind-of just disposed of like trash.

"Maybe Ymir has changed." Sasha suggested, a smile on her face. "After all, we all have, haven't we? You're older now, more mature, maybe she is as well?"

Christa sighed, shrugging slightly. "Maybe, but she still seemed the same." She tried to shake her head, to get Ymir out of her thoughts; after all this time was she still in love with her? Of course, Ymir was Lily's other parent. Christa definitely couldn't deny Lily's lineage. "Plus, she wanted me to get rid of Lily... the second she found out about her." Christa's eyes moved over to the living room, where her daughter Lily was running around and playing.

"So did you." Sasha stated in Ymir's defense.

Christa looked down to her feet, thinking of how she almost aborted her own child. "I know, but it was just because I was terrified. After finding Ymir with that girl... and our interactions at that moment in time, I didn't think I could take care of her."

"Well, you changed. You changed massively, maybe Ymir did too?" Sasha was trying to give Ymir the benefit of a doubt, despite everything that Christa had to go through.

"I don't know... but, it doesn't make me any less scared." Christa replied, biting her bottom lip. Deep within her, she couldn't help but wonder if she did allow Ymir in Lily's life... if she would disappear again? What if she really didn't want her own child? Lily shouldn't have to suffer the way she did.

***************************

After a few days pass, Christa is getting Lily ready for their Zoo date with Ymir. She puts Lily's brown hair up in a messy low fishtail braid that looks cute and ties a little white ribbon into a bow to hold the braid together. She dresses her in a cute pastel pink dress, and even puts a pair of white tights underneath her so her legs won't possibly get cold; although it was in the 60's, Lily was tiny and Christa was just a worried mom. After she had Lily ready, Christa had to get ready herself, since it was a supervised visit. And, Christa did not feel comfortable allowing Ymir to take her daughter unsupervised. Especially with her knowing nothing about her, and Christa knew Lily wouldn't feel comfortable with a stranger.

Christa got dressed a light blue casual shirt that highlighted her blue eyes, and a pair of skinny jeans and some white sneakers. It was just casual, and it wasn't like she was trying to dress up for Ymir. It wasn't a date for them, it was for Ymir to get to meet her daughter. Once Christa was ready, she sauntered over to Lily who was playing with her dollhouse and singing to herself. The small child loved to sing, and her voice made Christa smile every time she would hear it.

"Lily are you ready to go to the zoo with one of mommy's friends?" Christa knelt down to her daughter, only to be assaulted with a smile that danced across her freckled face.

Lily nodded in response, jumping up into Christa's arms cheerfully. "Yes, Mommy!" She beamed happily and Christa gave her a kiss on her cheek.

"Alrighty then, let's go?" She placed Lily back down onto the ground and took her hand and led them out of their apartment and Christa put Lily in her booster seat.

The two were supposed to meet Ymir at the zoo, right outside of it, around 11am. Right before lunch, and right before it would get really busy.

When Christa and Lily reached the zoo, she helped Lily get out of her booster seat and the two ambled their way up to the entrance. Where was Ymir? Christa glanced around, only to find her ex-lover leaning back on a big boulder that was part of the landscaping of the entrance with her hands in her pockets.

With a heavy sigh, to ease her nerves, Christa sauntered over to Ymir, her hand holding Lily's tightly. "Ymir." Christa called out, once she was in audible distance, with the families that were crowding around them to get into the zoo.

"Hey, Christa." She smiled to her, only to then look down and see Lily holding her hand. Immediately Ymir stood up straight and then crouched down to be at eye level with the tiny child. "Hi, your mommy tells me your name is Lily, is it?" Ymir smiled as she couldn't help but feel like she was on top of the world; meeting her daughter for the first time truly. Although she did also feel a slight awkwardness between the three of them.

In response, Lily shyly nodded and gripped Christa's hand tighter, ducking in to hide behind her legs.

With Lily backing away and shying away from Ymir in such a way, it couldn't help but make Ymir feel slightly discouraged, but she kept trucking through. "What's your favorite animal?" Ymir glanced to the zoo's entrance.

"Ummm... penguins." Lily uttered out softy, almost being inaudible.

A smile danced across Ymir's face towards the child's response. Her hands helping steady herself on her knees as she stayed crouching. "How about we go look at the penguins then?"

Lily's wide blue eyes lit up, and she smiled and nodded to Ymir. Which melted Ymir's heart, she was truly a beautiful child. It made Ymir feel a tinge of regret of choosing not to be there, of telling Christa to abort her. How could she even attempt to redeem herself?
