Chapter 1 (EDITED)

          Hey guys it's Wolfy here and I'm going to hope this book goes well. I finally got a good name for a book and the other 2 books with this name only have around 20-80 views so I think I'm good! Alright well I hope you enjoy this... let's get into it!

          My eyes open slowly as I start to wake up. As I wake up the light from my window is nearly blinding as it's a bright morning in mid fall. I sit up, and look around my room. I see my wolf statues and my few wolf stuffed animals. As my brain finally feels awake I remember that it's a Monday. I gaze over at my clock and all but jump out of bed. I was supposed to get up ten minutes ago and the bus is going to arrive in only five minutes.

          I rush out of bed and into my clothes right before putting my back pack on along with a hoodie, and running out the door. I barely make it to the bus before it leaves, and start to think about how the day will go. First off I'm gonna be at school for most of the day but when I get back I will be alone until midnight. My parents are going out to a party at a friends house.

          My thoughts are interrupted by the bus slowing down as we arrive at the school. I look up from my seat and get off the bus. After getting off the bus I walk up to the school and prepare for a day of annoyances and learning. While walking up the school stairs I hear someone call out my name.

"Hey, Lizzy!" An annoying and familiar voice calls out. I can tell that it's Zach but I don't really feel like dealing with it so I just walk on. As I reach the door Zach comes up behind me and closes the door in front of me.

"Hey, Wolf-freak! What's the hurry? Need to be on time to class ms. perfect?" Zach mocks. I back up and look behind me for someone who can get him away from me but noise is there to help. It seems everyone is already in the building and I'm now of course alone.

"What do you want Zach?" I spit back.

"Oh, nothing. Just for you to get out of my life. Ever since preschool you have been talking about how wolves are so much smarter than we thought. Well what do you think about wolves now?" Zach asks, before pulling a plastic wolf from his pocket and snapping its head off.

"The same way I've always felt! That wolves are intelligent and we need to acknowledge that. Now get your ugly face away from me before I decide I don't care if I get a suspension, and punch you in the face!" I yell. Zach backs off the smallest bit and I can tell that he's not going to mess with me for the day at least. After that I open the doors and start the day.

After School

          I get off the bus, and start walking home. While walking to my house something strange catches my eye. I see out of the corner of my eye a large wolf that sees to be looking towards me. I turn my head in that direction and realize it's only a large rock in the shape of a wolf. I laugh off the thought of a wolf in the middle of a city and continue walking. A few moments after I saw the rock I begin to see what looks to be wolves out the the corners of my eyes. How many rocks can their be that are shaped like wolves?

         I look to my right and the wolves seem to vanish from view. I look back forward and they reappear. I turn my head slightly to the right and mange to catch a glimpse of a black wolf with deep purple eyes. I turn my head farther and the wolf vanishes.

          I know that I'm not hallucinating this time, but I don't know what this means. I decide to go towards the wolves and find about more about what they are and what wolves are really capable of. Everyone around me seems to be that wolves are just bloodthirsty killers and that's that, but I know better. Wolf experts know that wolves are not like that but what they don't know or maybe choose to accept is that more to wolves then even what they believe. I know that there is. There has to be more to wolves. I'm going to prove to Zach that there is more to wolves, and that he is wrong!

          My thoughts power my speed, and I run towards the location where the wolves were. I reach the location after around thirty seconds of running, and see the wolves again. This time the wolves are more near the edge of the city. Still the city goes on for another miles which is why it makes no sense for wolves to be here. I run to that location, and the same thing happens. This process repeats until I reach the edge of the forest and can now see the wolves more clearer then I had before.

          I run towards the wolves in a hope to get a closer look at them, and find them move a few more feet into a clearing that isn't visible from the city. I step into the clearing, and prepare for something to happen but the wolves just sit there and look at me. I notice that the wolves seem to be around twice the average wolf's size which doesn't seem to be normal. The wolves eyes are not the typical color of amber or yellow, but a variety of different colors.

          I can see a wolf with deep purple eyes which I remember from earlier. Another wolf has a blue eye color and the third has a darker green color. The fourth and final wolf seems almost human like with their orange colored eyes. I look at all of them together and they resemble humans with their eyes. They don't look nearly as defense full as a normal wolf's eyes as well as the color especially.

          "Hello." The first wolf says. I jump back, startled by the sudden noise. I look to the wolf and think to myself. Did that really just happen? I start to think for a moment before realizing if it did really happen I should reply.

          "H-hi?" I say, undo sure if it really did speak.

          "What is your name?" The first wolf asks. I blink a few times before remembering he was talking to me.

          "E-Elizabeth." I answer. My mind starts to run properly again, and I can remember what I was thinking about before. Ha! No one believed me when I said that there was something more to wolves. Now I've got proof! I think for a moment before realizing what this means. I've seen movies before and if something strange happens then people want to run tests on it and put it on display. I can't let that happen to these wolves.

          "Well Elizabeth, you have been chosen to join the Shadows Wolves. A clan of werewolves set on defending people from the truth of wolves and making sure werewolves stay safe and in the dark." The first wolf states. My mind goes blank for a few seconds before realizing he actually means it. My body fills with excitement over the amazing thing that is happening right now before realizing my parents would notice if I just disappeared.

          "What about my pare-" I start to say before being cut off by the first wolf.

          "Already covered. Your parents will have absolutely no memory of you and neither will anyone else if we give the word." The wolf says. "Oh, and my name is Jack."

          "Alright! It's fine with me." I reply. No one really payed any attention to me anyway so why bother caring. The only thing that my parents really did for me was keep me alive. They really wanted a boy and maybe they would get their wish if I wasn't around. I think back to last night when my parents were talking. I can still remember the words that I tried so hard to forget but still now they are coming back.

I remember my mom said that she wished that I didn't exist. That I had been a mistake and that what they really needed was a boy. My dad of course had agreed, and I tried to do everything I could to forget that moment. That moment cannot be forgotten though. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with it. You know what. I'm ready for this new adventure. Especially since it means I won't have to deal with Zach.
