Recap - 1 year later: Melissa and Farkle have been dating long distance. Riley and Lucas have been dating for one year today
Melissa got off the subway following the instructions that Mr. Matthew had given her. She still had her cap and gown still on, for she left the second her ceremony was over, and walked to the apartment building. A little boy with curly hair let her in and lead her to the roof.

"So dad we told you our surprise, time to tell yours," Riley said looking intently at her father.
"Well, it's not really my surprise. I just helped organize it," he said.
The 5 friends wait impatiently for him to continue.
"Sorry I'm late. Trains are not as fast as they look," Melissa said from behind them smiling brightly.
"Oh my god," Lucas said running to his sister, Farkle and Zay not far behind.
"Surprise!" she yelled.
"How long are you staying for," Farkle asked.
"Well, after a long time of trying to get my parents to agree, I officially get to go to high school here in New York with all of you," she said
Cries of joy were sounded at the news and hugs were shared.
"Now I didn't even know that," Mr. Matthew joked.
