A little night breeze
Suddenly all I need
Is the warm caress of the little night breeze
As it whispers and tumbles
And hushes and stumbles
And gently dusts away distance
From my half formed words
That escape in deadly secrecy
And softly slink through the long night
To a cold house, walled with impenetrable stone
Which sees everything and soaks it up
Unflinchingly
Slowly it releases its toxic memories in the silent night
With an unfeeling chuckle
My words slip past like a jail break
And give a tentative touch of your sleeping ear
That runs right through you
It whispers and tumbles
And hushes and stumbles
To your heart, this whisper, I love you
You cry your silent, secretive tears
Alone, unwatched
